excessivelyperky chapter 8 . 10/16/2017
I am again reminded why I so often rooted for the Lord of Strange Deaths when reading those books...but seriously, I rather liked this particular version of Lockhart, who apparently manages his own adventures rather than stealing those of others.
excessivelyperky chapter 7 . 12/5/2015
Anti-animagus fields, eh? I love the irony at the end about the Veil. One has to wonder if Crouch Sr. is going to look over the old files and discover who has had a trial and who has not. He seems a very thorough sort of man.

And whatever will Sirius Black do, once he sees he’s needed at Hogwarts? Or will he see that Sophie is a Slytherin and therefore to be dismissed?
excessivelyperky chapter 6 . 8/26/2015
So delicious!

I so love this chapter about Rita.
excessivelyperky chapter 5 . 8/1/2015
I wonder if Luna's mother knows that nice Owen Pitt fellow in the States? (Larry Correia's MONSTER HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL). It wouldn't surprise me.

And I can understand why Luna is somewhat concerned about her next year...
excessivelyperky chapter 4 . 6/18/2015
Thank for not writing this in French. I would have given it a try, anyway.

Fleur and Roseanna must be good friends, if they're 'tu-ing' each other. One wonders if anyone is aware that the Voldie War is only on hiatus, but apparently no one outside Britain knows it. Well, they'll find out soon enough.

And knowledge about werewolves would indeed be useful at Hogwarts.
excessivelyperky chapter 3 . 5/28/2015
Well, Hermione sometimes forgets the bigger picture for the details in canon as well. So it's no surprise that she does here, as well. I suspect her current experience in this storyverse will help her be a little more cautious about venturing till she knows what's goingon.

As for Ravenclaws, I am reminded of Jane's speculation in JANE EYRE when she is starving-she contemplates ravens picking at her bones, and then takes the time to wonder if this area actually *has* ravens...
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 5/2/2015
Minerva remembers James a lot differently than his victims did. How interesting that she allowed his friends to run interference so he could escape punishment. I did not realize that she was a co-conspirator to that extent. Perhaps it's just as well that her position doesn't allow her much interaction with James' favorite chew toy, or his family. Sounds like she's almost under some kind of Imperius when you look at how she thought about things.

Sadly, Sophie will have no inclination towards bullying those weaker than she is; though since she's in Slytherin, McGonagall would of course consider that *evil*.
hwyla chapter 8 . 7/19/2014
Hmmm...THIS Lockhart sounds much more credible and effective than the one in canon. I'm guessing that he will manage to do something to leave Fu Manchu tied up for next year, so he can teach DADA at Hogwarts to give Sophie Potter a look over.
graynavarre chapter 8 . 7/18/2014
I would like to see this Gideroy in the books.

I would imagine that our Miss girl (too many words) lived would be a fine companion for Gilderoy. If they took Draco with, Draco's world would be complete.
moon so bright chapter 7 . 6/22/2014
Poor Sirius.
moon so bright chapter 6 . 6/22/2014
Huh. Interesting for Rita.
moon so bright chapter 5 . 6/22/2014
Hmmm. Interesting view on Luna here.
moon so bright chapter 4 . 6/22/2014
I like that nobody else outside Britain really believes the hype.
moon so bright chapter 3 . 6/22/2014
Hermione is so very awkward first year Hermione here.
moon so bright chapter 2 . 6/22/2014
Wow. That was different.
