I like this story, but I have a hard time wrapping my mind around a weak Buffy. I’m trying to justify this characterization of her— maybe she’s just jarred because she is out of her element, trying to fight in clothes she isn’t accustomed to, and not used to fighting without killing. I can kind of see it and add to the fact that she has to stare at a horrible version of her ex can be traumatizing. What’s also hard to visualize is Buffy crushing on Spike immediately after he beat her up and tried to kill her. There wasn’t a gradual build up and transition in their relationship which is kind of weird. Maybe she is just latching on to him because he is familiar?

Omg! I've read a lot of stuffy fan fiction and this is whither out a doubt one of the best. I love it. They're so adorable. Please write another! I know it's been a couple years but ugh it's a great story you should continue it!

it kind of bugs me that the fact Angelus tried to rape Buffy in 1880 is just glossed over like it never happened once they are back in 1999

Yeah, it was a little cheesy/hallmark like. It worked out for the best though. Really enjoyed this story. Like I said before though, have a beta read through & make edits so your story can become even better. Great job!

Did Tara go with Willow?

Glad he finally got it out. Your transition from when he could hear her in his cell to the fact that he was once again lying on the floor mid-escape could have been a little smoother, but overall I liked this chapter.

This was sweet with the flashbacks though you did lose the italics half way through. Nice chapter.

Aw. Was hoping she'd get to beat on the Initiative a little more.

Not sure what he has planned, but frankly I've been thinking I'd be okay if he somehow had gotten in & was the one dusted.

This is not really going along with my hope he's not gone.

Why do I feel like there is a spell in place to makeep Willow believe that it's Spike that was dusted? At least I'm really hoping it is something like that.
