azulkan2 chapter 6 . 11/28/2018
Sherlock can be such a dick. Great bunch of stories.
novelteas74 chapter 5 . 11/21/2017
But he looks good in the deerstalker! Not too many men could pull that off. I read this before but enjoyed the re-read. Great characterizations and even a mini case. Well done.
novelteas74 chapter 2 . 11/21/2017
Leave it to Sherlock to find a way to circumvent Sally’s wishes.
novelteas74 chapter 1 . 11/21/2017
True to character as always. I chuckled at the sentence mentioning John’s face being almost apoplectic;-)
JAT1981 chapter 5 . 8/10/2016
What a perfectly wonderful surprise! Straightforward Sherlock fiction with no mental issues for once! Thank you for this little gem. Hope you can see your way to transferring it to Ao3, so that we can download it!
VivatMusa chapter 6 . 7/17/2016
That last line-heh! I'm guessing this was done before the third season, but it's really neat how true you stick to Doyle, esp. that bit with Sherlock's ancestry and the painter. Good on Sherlock, to value WHAT you do more than WHO you came from, and nice comparison to John.
VivatMusa chapter 5 . 7/16/2016
"he was already on the phone." He was not capitalized. Great chapter, as always, and somehow I'm unsurprised that everybody thought Sherlock was a madman.
Vivat Musa chapter 3 . 7/16/2016
For one word, you come up with a lot of valid, varied scenarios. I especially liked this one: it showed Sherlock's care for John and unwillingness to admit sentiment, and his greater understanding towards Mycroft than towards Sally...obviously. And Althea was terrific.
VivatMusa chapter 2 . 7/16/2016
I was waiting for him to take the "back way". Thank goodness for his mental maps. Honestly, if Donovan is upset that he doesn't treat authority properly, she should meet his brother.
VivatMusa chapter 1 . 7/13/2016
Why is it whenever you get totally hooked into a story, life always get in the way? Doesn't life know that I have Sherlock-binging to do?!

Anyway, some awesome things in this chapter: 1) "no, this is Sherlock, it will take at least twenty before I can trust myself again." 2) How PURPOSEFUL every paragraph-nay, every sentence is. I tried to find one lazy line, one repetitive sentence that did not add something to the story...nada. Even during John's rant, his dialogue is completely in-character to the point I can hear him ranting, and his exasperations also give clues to his daily life (and lack of privacy) with Sherlock. 3) That John was unconsciously quoting a wedding vow and that Sherlock actually knew about it (before John's wedding, I'm guessing). Now, we could read deeper into that, but by itself it's hilarious. 4) The second to last line. That's so...Sherlock. Take twenty seconds, John...deep breaths...
VivatMusa chapter 1 . 7/9/2016
I'm going to write a better review for this later when I have more time, but just wanted to mention before I forget how awesome this idea of "entitlement" was. From the shows, you always guess that Sherlock grew up entitled, with everyone giving him whatever he wanted, but (if memory serves) it isn't explicitly stated until The Abominable Bride...and yet in 2012, when the series was only at season 2, you came up with this, as if you know the character so well that you can predict what the writers will think of next for Sherlock's character as if it is "elementary, my dear Watson". Goes to show your depth of understanding of our favorite detective; well done indeed.
O'Donnell chapter 6 . 7/7/2016
'What does that make Mycroft?' - 'A prat.' Oh dear, oh yes. Oh ooer. And yes, as we know, Vernet is in canon, and so are the aristocratic references...and detective fiction is littered with aristocratic young men who are brilliant detectives and singular personalities (Wimsey, Alleyn, Campion...) But Sherlock is the best ofg the lot. And I love his attitude. So true.
O'Donnell chapter 5 . 7/7/2016
Not being appreciated is a terrible thing, and we all know exactly how Sherlock feels. On the other hand, conflicting police forces are often at odds and have different perspectives, so not too far from truth. Once saw a similar chase after a pickpocket in Bank. Far too easy to judge by appearances; though it would take a brave man or a total idiot not to see our hero for who and what he is.
O'Donnell chapter 4 . 7/7/2016
What a neat little tale - and very true. But I am stunned; you meant Sherlock isn't ambidextrous? Or that he is but it is a good excuse to leave more of the mundane stuff to John? The plot thickens.
O'Donnell chapter 3 . 7/7/2016
Really, there are some people who just do not understand that Sherlock comes first and the rest of the world second. Not Anthea deserves a medal!
