A great characterization of Bilbo, the elves of Rivendell and Elrond.

Ahaha. I’ve always wondered why Elrond himself was out hunting orcs in the movie. Also, I’ve wondered why such a legendary diplomat wasn’t quite making life easy on the dwarves. Pulling their leg seems like a fabulous reason.

This was a very foolish idea. But Gandalf would not coerce this matter without a plan. And it IS the dwarves' homeland that was taken from them and they were driven away from.

Yeah. Sorry, elves, but I would be disappointed too if all I was served was green food without roughage! Especially if I was hangry! I like my solid food. But I guess we shouldn't be too hard on the elves. Maybe it was the best Elrond's kitchen staff could do on short notice.

Yes, Thorin. Elrond is much more gracious and not stuck up like Thranduil. Don't get me wrong. Thranduil is one outstanding character. But Elrond is much friendlier and less uppety!

Well, I think Lindir is gonna appreciate Bilbo's company more than the dwarves!

I like how openly affectionate Elrond is, in spite of his role as ruler.

He pulled a muscle? Oow! I did that once. Painful.

Poor Lindir. I wouldn't want to be left behind in charge either! He must have been so relieved when he heard the horn.

This is one of my favorite scenes on the Hobbit movie. The dwarves are ready to defend themselves being encircled by a band of fully armed elves, too suspicious minded to know that they're in no danger. And I loved Elrond's comeback to Thorin's cynical attitude, dramatic, intimidating Elvish! He commanded his servants to graciously feed their guests, but his tone was condescending. That was great! And Gandalf just stands there grinning!

I can read this forever... It's so comforting that it's already art in my eyes... I feel like I'm in Rivendell and it's so peaceful and... I can't find words :) Thank you for writing this...:)

Wonderdul as always. And I cannot wait for any sequeals you are planning. As a side note, another idea coul also be king thranduil and his reaction to bilbo because at the end of the Hobbit I think I remember him saying to Bilbo that they would be friends after our little hobbit confessed to stealing and eating the kings food! Plus seeing legolas with our hobbit would be fun. Anyways, good luck with your writing and never stop enjoying it and I look forward to reading more!

I really enjoyed this story! (though it took me longer than I thought to finish reding it). I'm happy to hear there'll be sequels and even happier to learn that you will never include Tauriel and whatever other inventions they create in the future. All hail canon!
