This is an amazing story. Than, you for having such a great idea. I like how you changed up The Great Gatsby.

Okay, I normally wouldn't be this critical but I'm assuming that everyone who writes fanfiction about the Great Gatsby is a student that's taking an English literature class so I feel like you should at least know some basic facts about the novel:
1. Jordan Baker is most definitely NOT from new money. Sure, she's more independent than other girls, but her best friend is Daisy Buchanan and she's introduced as such for a reason! Jordan shares the same aloofness, sense of class, and enjoyment in playing with other people's lives as either of the Buchanan's does. She's an East Egg, old-money character.
2. No one who's from Yale in the story actually says they're from Yale. It's a Yale-student thing. You always refer to yourself as coming from New Haven (the town) and not from Yale because you don't want to make it seem like you're classless and everyone who needs to understand will understand what you mean anyways.
3. Nick Carraway is very much a diplomatic, gentlemen-like character who enjoys keeping his own secrets. There is no way that he would ever be so carefree, especially with a friend who's female.
4. Women in this era did not go to Yale. In fact, Yale wasn't even co-ed at this point in time, I think. Wealthy girls were expected to marry wealthy men and nothing else.

PLEASE MORE PLEASE I BEG I HOPE YOU HAVENT STOPPED IM SO IN LOVE GAH

"Studying at Yale to become a librarian"

I think I'm actually laughing so hard I'm crying.

Why? Because:
1. Yale became co-ed in 1969 and the Great Gatsby was published in 1925
2. You don't even need a degree to become a librarian
2a. Even if you do need a degree, Yale wouldn't offer such a degree/school
3. This is YALE we're talking about here. Arguably one of the top three universities in the United States (and possibly even the world). You don't get in just because you're rich or have legacies
4. This was a terrible attempt to make the main character seem "educated" or different from the other women during this time

I love this fic but I cannot help but wonder if you will be bringing Daisy into this story? Either way this is a really good start and I cannot wait to read more of it when you get around to updating. This was a pleasure to read and I would just like to say thank you for posting.

I'm hooked on this story! I realize you haven't updated since May, but this is a really great story and I'd love to see what else you have in store for us! Rosie is just so sweet and endearing, you have to love her! And of course, with DiCaprio as Gatsby, it's perfect! I love the little romance going on with Nick and Jordan as well, and I'm very curious to see what happens with Patrick, not to mention Daisy, Tom, and the other characters. I do hope you'll get back to this whenever you can and post another chapter in the near future. Keep up the amazing work! :)
