I almost cried when I read how desparate Severus was to leave this world behind and die, because he thought that there was no one, who loved him.*sniffs*
Although it wasnt explained in detail, I suspect that there are still some people, that blame Severus for the crimes he committed (or they think that he committed them), during the war and that he is... Well, a persona non grada for many people.*glares at them*

Im only glad that he decided to say goodbye to Harry, since thats what saved his life... and Harrys probably as well, since I cant imagine that Harry would survived the loss of Severus.*smiles at him*

The scarf was a wonderful idea.
I assume that it wasnt some kind of magic, but Severus own emotions that reminded him of every moment he spent with Harry.
So, it was in fact Severus own love that drove him into Harrys arms.*blinks happy tears away*

I guess, Severus wasnt able to tell Harry how he felt, because he was afraid that Harry would reject him and I assume that he didnt want to destroy the only light, thats left in his life.*sighs*

Ah, and that lemon scene was beautifully written.*has to find a tissue, in order to stop her nosebleed*

I also liked that you mentioned that everything would be the same in the morning, although Harry and Severus are together now.
It was more realistic like that and at the same time it shows that even the most unbearable life is way more bearable if you love someone and are loved back.)

I confess your first paragraph struck fear into my heart. I only dared continue reading when I made sure you did not have Tragedy in your genre - but I would have reviewed very differently had it not ended happily!

Thankfully, it did. This... this is subtle but powerful writing at its best! *is again in awe over your writing*

Severus grappling with his (seemingly) unrequited love and thinking himself unworthy.

Harry grappling with his own feelings and somehow, accidentally, inadverdently knitting up his magic and his emotions into that scarf - pure magic!

I'm so relieved Severus put it on and felt what Harry felt and better still, acted on his feelings at last.

I usually prefer a few more chapters to pass before physical intimacy takes place... but I can see it was perfect here. They'd both been waiting and been too afraid and that just all bubbled over...

Best of all, it has a happy and hopeful ending... and if you plan on writing a sequel to this, I want to read of Severus destroying that vial and never thinking of it ever again!

Pains and tortures will follow of course, life it never easy... but yes, now he has love.
