Stop tearing out my heartstrings, you're killing me!

An excellent story, melding 20th and 21st century Doctgor Who. 10 out of 10 stars. (And kudos for showing the Master as a nice Time Lord.)

That was brilliant! I always had this idea that the Master knew who the Valeyard was because he looked into the Schism and saw the Doctor's life.
Amazing though, very nicely done.

:O Awwh - that's...that's sweet, that end, and sad, and scary, and... Yeah, I can imagine something like that staying with young Koschei, haunting him every time he looks at his friend, until all those centuries later it all comes out at the Trial. I'm also imagining this being the origin of the Master's greatest fear - like in "Mind of Evil" - the Doctor laughing maniacally at him, taunting him. No idea whether this was intended to have anything to do with that, of course, but it's just what comes to mind.

And am I right in guessing that those bits "It. Was. So. Loud." and "It. Doesn't. Stop." (four syllables each, hm?) are foreshadowing what's to come for the Master? If so, neatly done! :)
