So sad that you didn't continue with this story, it's very good. I was hoping to hear how her dinner out with Charles went and if she was able to finally get herself free from Joe and move on with her life. I hoped she would have a happy life

I personally think you write well ;) the idea i good, the way you bring it together is coherent and you are concise, which simply seems your way to describe the story :) keep on writing and you willl get better and better although your work is already quite good ;)

I'm a huge fan of modern Chelsie and Banna, so I was delighted to discover this little gem!
Poor Elsie! When a woman goes through things like that, it tears her down physically and emotionally.
Can't wait to see how Charles puts her back together again!

This story is lovely! Please keep writing. I am usually a bit skeptical about modern retellings of period stories, but this is really well done. I want to see what happens next. I'm falling for Charles myself. :-)

Finally found the time to read it: very good chapter. Good descriptions and a very good dialogue between the two. (A few small typos: your wrote "bought up the children" LOL) Looking forward to the next update. I like modern day AU.

Aww don't think so poorly of yourself! I think your writing is wonderful :) and like every other writer it can be improved but it doesn't mean it's bad. I actually tend to dislike Modern AUs of Downton but I really do like this one :) and don't worry about trying to make it like a novel (in case you are) the length shouldn't matter as long as it feels right. If that means the story ends that's alright as long as it feels nice. I do hope this has helped, for I don't like it when people give up on themselves :/, and I hope you have a lovely day! :D
