So cool! Love the chapter.
Cheers for writing again!
Kilaya21 chapter 142 . 7/8
I have just spent the last 2 weeks reading this fic. I absolutely adore it. It's so refreshing reading a fic that is centred around Petunia.
I really hope you are able to finish this someday.

Well, I don't regret having read this as far as you've posted, because it had many characters I'm glad I got to "meet", and many well-written funny or emotional or exciting scenes, but I do hope you feel inspired someday to return and give us some resolution.

Making the "treasure map" be an ad is a great touch.
Are they eventually going to obliviate Amy, or what?
DPDbookworm chapter 138 . 6/27
I love all your conversations and interpersonal dynamics, and I can't wait to see what Snape's advice is!
P.S.: Metamorphosis is a noun; you need the less common verb form, metamorphose.

Very cool, and I'm with Sholto, not Algy, re. Cressy. I like this twist on the stone, and the ring, and am too eager to wait longer before reading on.
(Sholto's situation proves once again a position I've often held in estrangement plots: never *destroy* a communication without knowing what's in it, even if that means simply locking it away for an indeterminate period until you're prepared to face the contents personally or by trusted proxy.)

Rats, I didn't know FFN wouldn't let me post more than one comment on the same chapter, or I would have held off on posting my spelling correction alone! So, here are my reaction-remarks for Chapter *134*, posted unaltered despite the temptation to look less naïve:
Wixen Ellis Island et al, and Petunia's reactions to it, are well-depicted.
I'm glad Sholto was so warmly welcomed (after the requisite confirmation of identities). It may not be too late for the most self-protectively sharp edges of his personality to be somewhat softened, or so I persist in hoping. I'm curious whether remaining in human form(s) again after so long as a dragon will affect him, too.
Also, I've long wondered about Polyjuice potion — does canon clarify anywhere how deep its changes go? Apparently not to the DNA level, at least in *your* headcanon.

Now, for Chapter 135, first of all, I was obviously caught as off guard as poor Petunia. It's a good thing she got past her reluctance to face Dumbledore's low opinion quickly enough for them to gather intel (another chance for Tobias to feel valued, and more intriguing imagery: who's the girl, among other questions) then catch Sholto in the act, since it's extremely doubtful he would have shared voluntarily.

You wrote, "Petunia forebode to make any comment" but it should say "forbore". Presently, it means she had a *foreboding*, whereas you intended to use the past tense of *forbear*.

This is the first time I'm making a proofreading-correction comment, because I've now seen this exact error at least twice (hence, probably not just a typo) without (afaicr) seeing any acknowledgement of a previous relevant correction in your notes. (I'm also doing it before I finish the chapter, lest some éclat of plot-revelation make me forget — a highly possible eventuality otherwise.)

Seriously, THAT's how Dumbledore breaks the news to a TWIN?! I've found him infuriating at numerous points in both canon and your story, but that's unconscionable!

Interesting insight into their personalities and Sorting, before that.
DPDbookworm chapter 131 . 6/27
Bravo, clever Algy, and oooh, the missing pages — can't wait! I hope they'll share Cassius's work with the Waller Institute et al. Also, Polyjuice for Sholto — why didn't I think of that possibility?!
DPDbookworm chapter 129 . 6/27
Yay, an engagement, and entirely in character for this motley crew!
Allow me to add my voice to those begging you not to even contemplate cutting this charming story to the bone! I wish I could think of a good solution to the main timeline conflict, but that's my only real quibble with the course of this narrative, as Petunia and her entertaining family and other companions (and ancestors) muddle through the ordinary and extraordinary of their lives.
DPDbookworm chapter 128 . 6/27
Intriguingly hint-y imagery, and all sorts of emotions around/about Tobias.
DPDbookworm chapter 118 . 6/27
Wow, I didn't see that coming! I feel for manipulated child Severus, but he does owe Tobias at least for the years since he realized what he'd done, yet made no effort to see what had become of his spell-victim. *What* he owes besides courtesy is a harder call, though, since Petunia's right that full confession of how his family wronged him would probably hurt Tobias more than his current sense of guilt does.

I'm also quite eager to find out more of Sholto's own embittering past, and what secrets the other sport dragons (Algy and Nerth, at the least) are keeping, too.
DPDbookworm chapter 113 . 6/26
Nesta's take on farming is a hoot!
I also appreciate Petunia's evolving perspective on herself, then and now, and recruiting Hermione for Sirius-monitoring.
(I still feel for P's disappointment and frustration re. the diadem and the unjust criticisms over it.)
