It was quite sad but also beautiful, I had a great time reading it. Plus I love the Hoosiers' song that you used as the title. ;)

The angst in this story was like a blade, which pierced my heart, straight through the feels. I must've been a emotional masochist, reading the whole thing and all.

This is excellent! You really capture the Doctor's degeneration from the man he used to be when the Ponds were with him. I love this explanation of how he went from "madman with a box saving planets, fighting monsters and being pretty sort of marvelous" to "lonely old man not caring if others are in danger and being filled with grief." Again, you did a marvelous job on this! I loved it!
