That has been an amazing read!
I was a bit scared by your very thorough warnings at first (which I appreciated very much), but found that this story offered me much more hope and comfort than hurt or angst.
The premise of this story felt a bit out of the blue, but once I accepted it, everything flowed naturally and connected with movie the Avengers surprisingly well. I'm particularly impressed by your characterization of the Avengers, Phil, Fury and Hill - they are exactly what I imagined them to be. It's easy to make any of them a bit over the top since they are either superhero or super spy, but I think you balanced their eccentricity and power with just enough common sense.
The only critique I had was that the time jumps between chapters were a bit confusing. Some time stamps at the beginning of each chapter would probably help clarify the settings.

Since I just rushed through the story because it was too captivating to put down, I'm definitely going back reread it, and read your other Avengers fics. ;) Thanks for writing and sharing these stories! Oh and I don't know if you are still writing fanfic (probably not, but wishful thinking?), but I'd definitely be excited to read more of your works if you ever come back!

I really enjoyed your story. Having Clint brainwashed from the beginning of his S.H.E.I.L.D. carreer was not something I expected when I read the summary but I beleive you did a good job with your fanfic. I hope to find similar writing skills un your other works. Congrats on your hard work.

You're an excellent writer. I think you captured the characterizations well. This story made me intensely uncomfortable, but I had to see it through to the end. And now I'm glad I did. For these lines, I thank you:

There is nothing to compare to, there is nothing that makes what happened to you less than anyone else. This is not okay.”

Wow, this was just epic! I love how you expose the brainwashing though a mission that the team spied on, and you kind of crush him at the end to set him free. To me, all the characters were spot on and really well written.

I'm not sure how many times I've read this story, but I will never grow tired of it. So wonderfully written, I love the characterization of everyone, and the subtle relationships. And the plot is so good. When I watched Captain America the Winter Soldier, no one understood why I was so heartbroken that Sitwell was a Hydra agent. It was because of this story. I felt so connected to all of your characters that I honestly felt betrayed when he was a double agent in the movie. Love love love your writing. I know I'll be back for more.

Tony's reaction to the farmers tan is priceless. So unexpected, and so dramatic. It's perfect.
