Overall. Well done. However, I would want to look into the idea that Reid's mother's demensia was real - it could have been part of the cover-up to keep Reid on assignment. It is hard question to ask because it could be real - but the timing is suspicious. Also Reid would probably have been dead if his friends hadn't been there - not still on assignment. They're playing it light to keep the mood light.

Okay.. and this chapter in addition to being horrible on Reid at least wasn't told in first person - and you answered quite a few of my timeline and degree questions.

Hopefully Reid won't have to fly off somewhere with Michael. Meanwhile, you answered one of my questions from earlier regarding pitcher and catcher. It wasn't as clear to me in the earlier chapter and of course Reid could have gotten the BJ from someone other than Derek. I may have missed a point (point to having more paragraph returns earlier). This is a heavy story, mostly well done and thoughtful. Thanks for sharing.

While I'm not really familiar with a "number of years limit" for certain PHDs it does appear that Spencer graduated high school at age 12 - although it isn't clear when he got is double major BA in Sociology and Psychology. The show has established that he was at MIT, but I don't know if it is fannon or cannon that he was also at CalTech. My best guess is that based on expenses he would have done undergraduate at a Nevada State College while also taking Master's Level courses in Mathematics, Engineering and Chemistry his 3rd and 4th years as an under-graduate. In addition to state school credits costing less, if you take graduate level classes as a non-matriculated undergraduate you only have to pay the undergraduate rate per credit (graduate credits can cost 3 or 4 times more). So my best time as established is that if he went to CalTech next (because it is closer to home and visiting his mom) it would have been at age 16 (4 years of college), and he would have gotten his first PHD there, before moving to MIT. It doesn't make as much sense for his undergraduate degrees to have been soft science if he had gone to MIT first. My best guess would be MIT at age 18 after his first PHd and having his mother committed (which he coudn't do until age 18). It is possible that he didn't even get to go to CalTech (that is leave the Las Vegas area) until after he was 18 - so he may have done his Master's degrees before he turned 18, only traveling out of state for his PHDs.

I like the safe-word thing. I'm not sure that they should have all been out undercover for 2 reasons - they have all been on television before - together, and Rossi is a famous book author whose photo is probably on his books.

Okay. The team relationship parts were very good - supporting Reid through the transition. The Morgan and Reid friendship to lovers part was very good. Two thoughts. One is stylistically - more paragraph returns so that when the visual is from a different point of view or a different subject it flows better. Secondly, since Derek was so direct, and they "did" it several times, why would Spencer necessarily be the "catcher" every single time. Even if he only tried "pitching" once - in a new relationship with two guys the same height, both of whom have expressed interest in women in the past and haven't even been to first base with each other before - I can't see them not even trying to switch it up or at least 69.
Finally, actually Reid can do undercover - but in the show they consistently put him in safer situations whenever possible due to both his youth/less experience in the field; and the fact that they need his mind more than his body. He apparently doesn't like to lie, but can lie. They often have sharp shooters and other paramilitary agents come in for raids. I think the small edit that I would recommend is that instead of everyone repeating that they don't think Reid can do undercover, they could think about how they don't want him to be in danger and that he can come across due to his good looks and shy body language as more of a target within a group of people.

Probably one of the hardest things in the world at this point is to go out without read. I'd push it and say that they had a 62 percent solve rate before - the time table alone of them being able to take more cases because they solve them faster... something fishy. I'm glad that the others are standing up for him... even if things are going to go at the speed of bureuocracy.

OMG. This story is so awesome! You have not thought about making a continuation? It would be absolutely fantastic. Like when Reid will return to the BAU, what John has to say, what happens to Strauss, how he and Derek's relationship develops, what his team says about his mother's situation, if he can see her again. and more! :) Would really love a continuation! 3

This one is good, but the sentence structure is ridiculous. Fragments, run-ons, poor grammar and punctuation. I may finish this one, but I won't read anything else of yours till you clean up your writing.
