This is a really amazing fic with an extraordinarily interesting premise. I don’t think I’ve ever read a fic where Konoha was destroyed during the Sound invasion before, and I really, really love what you’ve done with the concept. Good luck on Chapter 13! Can’t wait to read it!

I have to admit, your fights where Kyuubi comes into play... I haven't been that pumped about a fight like that for YEARS! So thank you for that! That fight with Gaara... Oh gosh. Just, wow.

There were a couple of times where Naruto (who was supposed to be the narrator) used words like 'pragmatic' and such that really didn't sound like him. But other than that, I loved how you portrayed him. Seriously, SO much luv there. Plus, NaruxHina FTW! *dances*

When I started reading this, I thought that it would be one of those fics pointing out how great Sasuke was... but it was a story that sounded decent, so I decided to give it a try. I still kind of feel like "Sasuke lives, all of these people live too!" But at the same time, I like the OCs you have and I think the stakes in your world are higher because people have died.

I really want to see an Aburame live, btw. Please? Just one?

Huh, not a bad concept. I think you might have taken away from some valuable viewers though by not putting in the character tags. I can agree with you on your reasoning because I'm just as guilty of seeing two characters I think would make a great couple and think 'awesome a story with that pairing.' But if you state in the AN at the begining of the chapter that just because the characters tags are of characters that might make a good pairing are there doesn't exactly mean they are part of the pairing. Then it would have been on them for stupidly ignoring the authors note when those are more often than not put there for a reason. Frankly, I don't like Sakura nothing on you or your fic but I just can't see Sakura holding a relevant position in any story.

Am I letting that dislike impact how i enjoy fanfiction? Probably, but there has to be a lot of changes early in the fics history, like during the childhood years before I am willing to give sakura a chance.

The fic is wonderfully writting though even after reading only the first chapter. If the rest of them are this good I can definitely see you making this fic work out. Good luck with that.

Sorry I needed a few days before I could review, but this story isn't a collection of vignettes, an easy, minimally plotted read, so I reread it from the beginning. (Never a waste if it's a good story.) The romantic subplot was nicely handled, not insipid, and satisfying. While you've written some good fight scenes (Naruto vs. Gaara), but Naruto's fight with Tsunade was AMAZING. More brutal than I remember from the book, but circumstances are bleaker and everyone's more on edge. Placing it in the Fortress, witnessed by the traumatized villagers (Who could do with Naruto's passionate optimism and thrived on his inspiring determination.) was a terrific choice. The fight was intense and exciting and the end was pure trickster Naruto and fun. Tsunade isn't thrilled with staying, so I wonder how future events will play out (Though I don't think she'd turn traitor... Well, I hope not.). I am really looking forward to Itachi and Kisame and your take on the Akatsuki.

yeah! this is an absolutely fantastic fic. i love the characters and i especially love the plot and the canon-fixes. usually these alternate universes follow along more or less the same plotline as canon and it's super interesting to see one that explores scenarios so very much different, like the destruction of konoha! 0:
i like the idea of the fortress for the novelty of a hidden ninja village that is, literally, hidden from everyone. 11/10 fic love this.

interesting story I'm NOT NARUHINA fan because according to me naruto should be from sakura in the last movie of naruto and not stupid nonsense what they did the last movie naruto suddenly begins to like her because of genjutsu ... I really mean? Kashimoto invents this excuse to connect the naruhina I understand that people are changing and going further, but the attempt to weaken Naruto's feeling for Sakura was low. Naruto was interested in Sakura before Sasuke entered the stage. She attracted him and over the years she grew into her amazing, intelligent and appreciated her even more. To say that Naruto was only attracted to Sakura, because of the small competition only loses his character. I do not think he is that kind of person. He did too much for her and he fought too hard to be crushed. If it proves that Naruto is not shallow. But it does not write about it is not a topic anyway I like your story and I can evaluate it positively it was nice to read The opposite is fann sasuhina who invented these evaporation but he does not comment because I would offend Sasuke what I think about this form many negative feelings hate sasgay and all 2 naruto series tripping down the hypocrite criminal oh i almost wrote what i do not want Same name sasugay makes me nerves I'm waiting impatiently for the next chapter

I waited a year for another Naruto/Stalker, I mean Hinata fic? Well an the bright side I more or less forgot what had been already published. Not going to follow, sorry but we have too many of these and more or less are lock stepped to canon. As original as this is it's not my cup of tea, I was hoping for Naruto and Sakura to somehow bond closer in their getting over Sasuke's death but that's not going to happen so, yeah. Lots of luck on this but I'm done.
