OMG! My heart is broken for Fitz. Yes, this would have explained so much to the fans why he holds on so tightly to Olivia. Thank you for this beautifully written story.

I was thinking that at this point Fitz has a chance to make a clean break and divorce Mellie and make an honest women of the love of his life Olivia. He could quit the campaign and run later with Olivia as his first lady. It would be a huge SCANDAL but it would be authentic and not a lie like he is living now. Would love to see you write that version.
