Oh my gosh, good thing I'm home alone, otherwise I would disturb my family with my howling! Of course it was MYCROFT'S IDEA to kidnap John, who else it was supposed to be? Brilliant!

Although, I knew right away that both Holmes were behind "Bugs'" face. Too much concern to be anyone else than Sherlock (not to mention calling John by his first name later) but the first encounter was way too posh and official, so it had to be Mycroft (who used "Doctor Watson" instead). Their characteristic inability to comprehend the need for social interaction for John's heath in the beginning was also a big clue. Other people would think of something basic like that while making a five-star-prison for a friend, whose habits they could point down to his tea preference and size of clothing. By the way John is right, that is very creepy.

For some bizarre reason, I like this better than what actually happened in cannon. Maybe because Sherlock is so thoughtful about John's reaction and anger. Or possibly because of John's final response to this whole situation. This is a really fun story, not to mention well-written. Great job :D

I knew it was Sherlock! I just knew it! The way he talked to him and how he told him not to be stupid and stay safe... and how he knew his clothing size and preference, and food preferences, and book and movie and CD preferences... and the sheer amazing overprotectiveness... Oh, yeah. I knew it. This was amazing! The title is indeed perfect: valuable treasures you want to keep safe... *continuous squealing*

It took me a little while but I did start expecting it to be Sherlock behind it - my first guess was Mycroft, but it didn't take long for that to change. Loved the Looney Tunes references XD

Brilliant! A definite twist on protection. I can see it happening in real life but I'm not sure I can quite see John taking it as quietly as he did. At least at first when he had no idea who it was. Though, later on I can once he suspected and maybe doing some subtle tests. Like telling some anecdotes to test their patience or something. But I think my favorite parts were with the coloring book and the ending! They were just great! And very entertaining. Thanks for sharing this. You did a great job and I wish you happy wishes for it! :-)

it was intriguing and fantastic.. though had thought that bugs might turn out to be sherlock but it was very well written.. keep writing :)
