| avearia chapter 1 . 2/5/2013 What an adorable oneshot! Though kind of a sad ending. But then again, when Jack and Pitch are involved, it's rarely a truly happy ending. But the parts before '68 were cute. I particularly enjoyed when Jack smashed into those lights and got half-electrocuted. "Well, that was shocking!" So very Jack. And how Jack can make Pitch laugh - it just shows how, on a basic level, Jack brought Pitch happiness. And at the end, that relationship has gone to waste. I have two minor nitpicks: One, Pitch and Bunnymund's meeting - it seemed in the movie that Bunny was convinced Pitch was gone, and had been gone for such a long time that it was unfathomable that the Boogeyman was back. So them meeting at '68 is highly unlikely. Two, Jack seemed a touch too childish in the story. Though Jack IS basically a child, he also has a sharp wit and street smarts, and loves to banter. The dialogue at the end felt like something I might hear from someone much younger. But, by large, those points are minor, and mostly my own opinion. The fanfiction works very well anyway, and it's cute and heart-touching. You have a very easy-to-read style that I find refreshing. I'll try to check out your other fic when I have the time. Until then, thanks for posting this oneshot, it was a nice read and I enjoyed it. avearia |
