I have been looking for this story for days. I had read it a while back and absolutely loved it but couldn’t remember the name or author. All I could remember was that it was about Neville’s daughter, who was a squib and wanted to go to Hogwarts. I found this in my favorites today and decided to check it out in case it was the one I was looking for. I got soo excited when I realized it was.
I love your characterization of all the characters and how you’ve given them more depth than the stereotypes they are usually portrayed as, like how James is a prankster because he’s afraid of not living up to other’s expectations. They’re all so relatable as well.
Any chance there will be a longer story about Maddie and Callie?

Hi There! I'm a long time Harry Potter fic reader (uhm... Like 21 years tbh) and very rare reviewer. I have been trying to get better about reviewing more, and I feel as though I should go back and review each chapter... But yeah, then I'll just feel guilty and you won't get any reviews at all. So here we are!

I found your fic as a recommendation through Reddit, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it! I absolutely adored how you explored different paths, such as with Maggie and Roxie. Even Freddie's take with "pause" really resonated with me. Each of these characters is so individual, and it has been a pleasure to go on this journey. Binging this fic is a little odd, just because of how much Teddy ages throughout lol.

Thank you for being a fic writer. And THANK YOU for ranking your own headcannons above JKRs. She may be the founder of our world, but she is not our god. I like the direction you took things far more than anything she would have posted anyway.

I love how you explored deafness in the wizarding works and how even though there’s a spell to make Roxie hear, it’s still not presented as a disability. I think you did a wonderful job exploring this and how deafness is still part of Roxie’s identity even though magic can make her hear. Awesome work!

This is what I would refer to as a thought piece, exploring characters and relationships based on a what if. I really enjoyed this, and some of the chapters made me cry. I’m not terribly fond of next gen stories but it’s always nice to read one that really dive into each character as their own person. Thank you for sharing

Re: author notes. Funny! Your head canon is my head canon, long before TCC ever entered the scene. TCC always felt like more of a "connected people marketing play" than an actual exploration of the next generation's thoughts, feelings, and subsequent actions.

Re: story. You have Ted in an interesting space in regards to his parents/guardians, but he wasn't a void in terms of his peers getting on the train either. Even the most clueless of child-rearers would have found him regular playmates to take the load off. Who were they?
