That was a very lovely tribute and I very much appreciate the chance to read this. I particularily enjoy how you put doubt in Thorin's actions, and hinted at it in Fili and Kili. I feel that makes this a much more human story and you don't see that very often.

This is sweet and adorable and sad. I love the mental image of Dwalin being a twit and making fun of his brother-it's easy to forget that he's a younger sibling. Poor Balin.
