Lovely ending to this story! Happy to see everyone finding each other and get a glimpse into the future. Now I need to find your version of their wedding! :)

Ahhh, they're engaged! Tom managed to surprise me with his timing, too.:) Glad they came out the other side of the angst of the last few chapters, and that they are dealing with Sybil not getting into medical school and her pregnancy scare together. These two can get through anything if they are open with each other! Looking forward to the last couple of chapters.

Awww, lovely ending to this chapter, some S/T sweetness. :) Quite a few happenings in the extended friends and family group in these last few chapters - I was happy to see Kieran and Gwen work things out and agree to try again, I like how you have portrayed them. Wonder what will happen with Mary x Matthew, let alone Aiden's father reappearing and Sybil meeting Charlotte. I am a bit nervous, though, about Tom's slightly complacent remark to Sybil about how things don't get all 'complicated' with them - in my experience, famous last words! Look forward to reading more.

Just getting started on this story and really enjoying it so far. I like the way that, while S/T are still front and centre of the story, with this fic you are putting them more into context of their broader world - friends and family. I am looking forward to reading more of this!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this story. Even though you focused on other characters, it was still centered around Tom and Sybil. I enjoyed your explorations of the secondary characters and their relationship and their interactions with Tom and Sybil. I also love that you did not portray Tom and Sybil's relationship as perfect. That made the story much more believable to me. Every relationship has it's struggles and I'm glad you portrayed that. Great job!

I loved the conversation between Tom and Matthew. What great advice Tom gave. I love the spin you gave with Matthew's viewpoint on his and Mary's relationship. He really did play second to a house! Tom's constant teasing with the proposal is adorable!

Yup I knew she was pregnant even before she told him - that's really the only reason for such a drastic personality change - hormones!

Mixed marriages do work - as long as the big questions are dealt with. My husband and I have just recently celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary.

I was raised a protestant and my husband was raised catholic but NEITHER of us attend any church. I agreed for our son to be christened catholic purely so that he would attend the catholic school and get a better education.

The catholic schools are smaller and everyone is part of the family. The public school has more than twice the total number of students as the catholic, and those kids are just so rude to adults out in the street.

I saw and heard all this when I was pregnant and I just knew that I did not want to send my kids to a school where the kids do NOT learn any manners.

Anyway, my son is now in grade 6 at the local catholic school, and doing very well. But NONE of us attend any church on Sundays. He gets enough religion in schools. He does not need more on the weekends.

I’m enjoying this story! It’s nice to have Tom and Sybil wrapped up in other people’s lives besides their own... they’re both caring and protective of their loved ones and it makes sense that they wouldn’t be able to resist sticking their noses in. :) And I’m liking the Kieran/Gwen and Mary/Matthew drama. I wonder what Tom will think when he learns about Sybil’s trust fund?

It’s adorable that the running joke is Sybil not knowing just when Tom’s going to propose.

I did it! I read this entire story and I *LOOOOOOOOOOOVED* IT! :oD I actually read this a few weeks ago and realized that I never wrote a review! AH! Sorry, because you deserve a review! (Prepare yourself! It's a long one!) :oP

This whole saga about Sybil and Tom is so beautiful and wonderfully written! I loved every bit of it, just seeing the two of them progress further and further into their relationship. It was fun to see and wait and wonder when Tom was going to finally pop the question! All those little moments when he teased her, whether it was her birthday or their anniversary, were so cute. And that moment on the couch...I really, REALLY thought that was it, but when it did happen, it was beautiful (and I loved all the numbers he had written down!) Oh I felt for Sybil as she struggled with what she should do about med school. I also felt for both of them as they dealt with friends/family, from Mary and Matthew's break-up, to Gwen and Kieran's drama. AHHH! When Gwen showed up at Sybil and Tom's place drunk? Oh gosh, that was such a cringe-worthy moment, but it was so well done. I don't blame Kieran for being upset with her, and I don't blame Sybil for yelling at her either, but wow, that was not only powerful, but amazingly written-as was the make-up moment between Gwen and Kieran later. And at the end, showing it as *their* wedding? Very clever ;o)

Oh gosh, the Sybil/Tom relationship dramatic moments were nail-biting at times, but always very sweet. Like running into Tom's ex? AHH! Didn't see that coming! And the revelation that his ex is dating his SISTER'S EX? Wow. But the pregnancy scare-I didn't see that coming! I'm amazed, I really thought it was just her feeling depressed about not getting into med school, but that was a great twist, and I loved how concerned Tom was, and I laughed with how he knew all the things Sybil shouldn't eat if she were pregnant, right off the top of his head ;o) I felt for Sybil when she found out she wasn't pregnant; for both of them because it's so clear they'll be wonderful parents (but you made up for it in the end) ;o)

WHICH LEADS ME TO AN IDEA! Have you considered writing another fic for this universe, covering the 9 month period of Sybil's pregnancy? I just have these beautiful images of her finding out that yes, yes she REALLY IS pregnant and telling Tom; and then all the joys and hardships of dealing with being pregnant, from the morning sickness to the backaches to the mood swings and crazy food cravings. I can imagine Sybil waking in the middle of the night with a hankering for dark chocolate hobnobs and salt and vinegar crisps, and Tom having to go out to a 24 shop in the middle of a rainy night ;o) :oP I also have this cute image of Tom trying to be all "manly" by putting the crib up for the baby, and getting so frustrated half-way through, not being sure where to put certain bolts, the directions making little sense to him, etc. And then of course, the moment she goes into labor, Tom rushing her to the hospital, the nervousness of the situation, him in the waiting room holding her hand, she squeezing the life out of him, and then their daughter is born and it's lovely and tearful and he cuts the cord and...AHHH! Just please, *PLEASE* consider writing that! I think you would make it SOOO GOOD! I *know* you would! So this is me being the annoying lil' imp, jumping up and down on your shoulder, saying "WRITE THIS!" :oP

All in all, loved this story, loved every part of it, from the humor to the drama, to all the romance in between. BRAVO!

Thank you for sharing this story with us, I love modern stories that still retain the essence of who each character is in the new time period, which this story and its companion did brilliantly.

I have to admit I'm a little sad this story is over!
