I think that Jade should finely unleash her Shadowkhan magic against the glass spider as she finely realises that there are no heroes merely villains fighting against each other as she realises that the Shadowkhan maybe evil but they never imprisoned her or tried to kill her and finely realises how foolish she has been as she unleashes all her pent up rage against the glass spider managing to use shadow magic against it throwing it back while she fails to escape herself she will at least prove she is not powerless and manage to buy time until her remaining generals manage to rescue her from the true villains which are the humans and Shendu who is preparing to make his own move. I think that Ikazuki should prepare to make his move leading as large an army as possible as he has Kuro and Ozeki take the fleet aiming to have them crush the pirate lord while he and Hishu lead the main assault as he has figured that Hishu and his mini khan can devour shadows which will be really useful against the forces of Tobe as he leads his army across northern Awaji having Jirobo and his clan square the sky while having Kamisori and Sanshobo attack the eastern flank while Kuro and Ozeki attack the sea's to the west killing the pirate king in the process as Ikazuki and Hishu charge the main gate's with Hishu devouring the shadows of lord Rokutaro's main defences. I think that Lord Rokutaro should prepare for battle as his scout's sport Ikazuki and an unknown Khan general charging the main gate foolish his defences are to strong but where are the other four surely the Pirate king dealt with Kuro but where are the others something is wrong but the new general will unleash a swarm of Shadowkhan at the main gate which will devour the shadows from it as the Khan grow massive but Ikazuki will maintain his honour in this final battle as they cut there way through there enemies as Ozeki and Sanshobo assault the east gate as Ikazuki kills Yasassi Kan the last of the demon quellers as Ikazuki rescues the queen while fighting off his enemies. I think that Shendu should have his forces watch the final battle aiming to take advantage of whoever wins this final battle unknown to him his own enemies are about to take advantage of his distraction as Lo Pai a Chinana's sorcerer aims to end his Reign of terror as the battle in Tobe heats up as Ikazuki slays the glass spider rescuing Jade as his forces begin to fight back as they lose Kamisori and Jirobo but slay Yasassi, Rosuto and Murakami while wounding Guranda gravely as they also lose Kuro and Sanshobo but manage to slay the giant warrior as Ozeki knocks Niko back as Jade moves in to finish him just as he imprisons Ozeki as Jade cuts Niko down as Ikazuki kills lord Rokutaro but he should imprison both lots of Shadowkhan as he dies Jade will take all the masks and scatter them throughout the world awaiting the day when the Shadowkhan will return to take there revenge upon humanity.

Excellent story so far. I suspected as much: evil vs. evil. And that mask the enemy has will probably make things worse. Perhaps Jade becoming the Empress was a blessing in disguise. She can keep the Shadowkhan out of the hands of evil. Plus, she’s becoming more accustomed to her role than she wants to believe.
I can’t help but wonder about Shendu’s role in this story. He plans to attack if Jade’s forces win. However, Jade knows how to beat him while Shendu knows nothing about her. Will she defeat him before Lo Pei does? (Speaking of whom, he’d be utterly disgusted by the way this city is treating her, a child). And how might that affect history? Will the events of the show even happen? And as a result, will the moment she vanished from in the future be available to return to (if she even wants to return)?
I look forward to the next chapter.

Dear me, will Jade ever make it back home?

I'm torn. I want her to be successful in causing the fall of the Shadowkhan, and perhaps have a confrontation with Shendu, but I also want her to eventually see the value there is in the Shadowkhan as well. I don't suppose you could supply any hints as to where the story is going?

Jade's mother in this reality was certainly a interesting character, and it was quite amusing to learn how the events of Jade's conception happen. Though now i'm really curious if we'll see Jade's unknown father play a large role later in the story.

I am happy to see new chapter. I admit that I have trouble to remember characters and tribes names and unfortunately because most are your ideas I can't check them anywhere. I never thought that Foxes kidnap queen for humans. Can't say a feel sorry for them. Shogunate in the Shadows start to fall apart because of members individual goals. Himitsu statue is intact so he may return. Flashbacks with sexually frustrated 97th queen were hilarious. Is father is Lo Pei, he was badass enough? Jade unfortunately too late learned that there is no big good. I wonder if after rescue, she will decide to become one herself. Because if she so far she was sabotaging Shadowkhan as much as she could and still was prized by generals, what is she will decide to be competent? Earlier Jade was thinking that desperate situation make heroes band together and are extra determined, it just happened to generals. No more power struggle when queen needs them the most. Ozeki is great in his job but he is from sumo clan that is probably best suited of all clans for tasks that come in time of peace and now is time of war, probably that's why he chose Ikazuki. Samurai thirst for glory made him bad bodyguard but now it should not be a problem because task required of attacking.

I am looking forward to finding out the fate of korei and her tribe the majority of the tribe probably butchered a few taken for experimentation. their illusion magic could prove useful koeri tortured for every last scrap of information so they can find out how she did it so they can stop it from happening again

The pirate lord and his fleet that is nothing a little geek fire couldn't deal with. And when the shadow shogunate plays their trump card the oni mask they will be mighty surprised when they turn on them the masks taking over there bodies and when the shogunate is crushed the ring leaders will be given to jade for judgement

I’m glad to see the return. You wrapped things up much more rapidly than I thought you would, I was expecting a few chapters between these events and the events of last chapter. Good stuff though, I’ll be waiting impatiently as always.

Good chapter, and it looks like Jade’s slowly learning this conflict is, if we had to pick colors, shades of grey vs other shades of gray. Let’s see if her actions don’t backfire on the dear.

I know it’s been a while, but please continue the story. It’s one of my favorite, and the amount of love placed into it is astonishing and felt. You do well crafting this universe, making a cast of characters so thoroughly enjoyable and rich. Please, when inspiration comes as does time, continue this story.

I was thinking of this story earlier today and I had an idea of well where it could go. So this would happen really far down the line Uncle manages to bring Jade back to the present but he brings back a grown up Jade who has fully embraced her role as empress. After a confrontation with Jackie, Uncle, and Tohru she leaves to rebuild her empire. Which starts off the hunt for the Oni masks and to stop Jade from conquering the world.

So this as mentioned this is what I see happening down the line or maybe as a sequel to this looking forward to the next update.

How are they always like three steps ahead? This is some Code Geass level bullshit, here. "I anticipated your anticipating of my plan so here's some utter BS I've pulled out of my ass at the last moment! HAHA!" Like I was with you for Tsume getting shrekt, that's how the story goes. He was a monster, heroes kill monsters. The Ninjas though? C'mon, how boring is that? And the humans didn't even lose anyone important during it, it just feels like a massive cop-out. It wasn't even a Pyrrhic victory, they just trounced our greatest general with effectively no cost. What, they lost like a wizard and a pirate. Small change. At least the general should have fallen, that would have at least made it interesting. Both sides lose an important figure, yeah I can get behind that.

There's no way you built Hiruzen up to this ridiculous height and then fucked him with a rake over the course of one chapter, that makes no sense. It can't just keep ending with "we knew you were going to do this... inexplicably... HAHA!" shit as each general vanishes into a Bag of Plot Convenience, surely. I'd say that would get boring fast but it's already there.

He's a major character and he did like nothing. It feels so... blah.
