Come back it's good af

Well this was a relatively short chapter, thankfully because it was upsetting to read Katara dismissing Aangs actions of RAPE as partly her own fault. Now I know for a fact that some rape victims tend to partly blame themselves in some way for such incidents but for Katara to tell Aang not to blame himself for his actions and that it was her actions with Zuko that were to blame is just plain dumb. And on the subject of Zuko, he clearly knew something happened and I doubt that he would be willing to just stand by and accept Katara's word if he had reason to doubt it. I hope he ends up investigating the issues himself. The pregnancy subplot seems to be aborted, and I have mixed feelings about it. One you wrote in that Katara could somehow sense it but it would be way to early for the development of the fetus or for her to even speculate about being pregnant. Two as long as Zuko and Mai have been together and there has been no development of children between the two, that would make advisors and the rest of the kingdom wary, the sudden prospect of Katara being with child could cause either discourse or joy from Zukos nation and that would be interesting to read about Katara dealing with politics and being in the spotlight for such controversy. Maybe something to think about? I hope that you do.

Ok... no. Katara is a strong female character in her own right. Why did she go along with the story?! This chapter didn't even explain why, Zuko is a master fire bender and the ruler of the fire nation, why does she need to protect him? She needs to protect Zuko because Aang is a huge jackass? I would have understood that logic if it were true to the character and if it also implied that Aang would be willing to start a war with Zuko over something so petty. Since it's already established that Aang is only willing to touch Katara for either procreation or to violently make her submit to him then Aang is pretty fucked up in the head and cannot perceive a real loving relationship. So another war 10 years later might seem plausible. I'll just wait and see where this goes

I think this chapter turned me off because it made Aang act completely out off character. His nature is far more passive so I think in the moment of him finding out about Katara's infidelity should have enabled the classic way he reacts, by running away from her and becoming a recluse. People would come to her wondering where the avatar went and she would have to face up to her own mistakes. This would cause more character development between her/Aang/Zuko. But by making Aang a rapist, he's clearly in the wrong and that would make them end their rrelationship quickly and badly, freeing Katara from all responsibility and enabling her to do whatever she wanted with Zuko, at least until Mai comes into the picture anyway. I like the story overall but I think this particular chapter wasn't aswell thought out asnit could have been.

Why ? really why would you let her stay with the kid ? after he raped her ... this way Zuko will think that Katara wants to leave him and go back to Aang ... and Aang raped her for Heaven's sake , that is a perfect reason for her to just slap Aang ,say it's over , and walk away ...

Can't wait for the next one. She should have told Zuko about the rape. Now she's gonna feel like it happened because she did wrong when all she did was reach for something new, something her soul needed. Not saying cheating is the way to go but they were barely a couple, anyway.

Um no. Katara should never forgive Aang. No matter what he does, that was sick and can be classufued rape. I love reading this story and can't wait to see the next chapter!
