Love your Mels. She's totally the wild personality we see in LKH, but the traces of River are already there. Calm in the face of shooting a sycorax. (And lol, boosting Jake's Ferrari. Again.)

guess he does usually need touch, but its great, the idea that despite having telepathy, he couldn't read her thoughts. I'm sure Time Lords must've had some sort of fail-safes, so you couldn't go around reading each other.

And her latent memories, being trained to fly similar ships but unable to remember fully. Love that.

The last bit is so good! Mels playing up the innocent teenager shtick, the Doctor unobservant and the Tardis laughing...

And the last line had me giggling like mad. Absolutely loved this. Brilliant portrayal of Mels and the adventure fits perfectly; not AU at all. Just overall a fantastic story!
