A perfect ending to a perfect story. Overall, I thought you did a really great job of providing "missing" scenes for each of the episodes, while still giving an ongoing narrative that works as a standalone story. I've a read a lot of similar stories in fandoms and usually it goes too far in one direction or the other, sticks too close to the episodes and being inconsistent, or not having an overarching storyline that connects each chapters. You blended both together well. I'm thrilled to see you have another story for the fandom. I look forward to starting that tomorrow.

Oh Michonne. I want to write a letter to the writers demanding scenes like this. I love how well you do quiet understated scenes like this, that are still laced with meaning and significance. I'm so sad that there is only one more chapter.

Hershel is such a wise man. I liked that you had these two interact, because I feel like they don't have any scenes together. I mean they are kind of on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as personalities, but you made it work and I like that you had Hershel tell Daryl that he belongs there.

The whole "door" inner monologue is exactly how I think Daryl pictures himself with the group and the line about him not deserving more...ugh, it hit me right in the gut because I know that is probably what he thinks. That man has some serious self-worth issues, but isn't that why we love him? I really liked how you explored that here.

I think this is the perfect prequel to the whole meeting episode. I honestly didn't think about how Carol would feel about the whole situation, especially since she was the one that suggested the whole killing the governor thing. I accept this as my new headcanon, lol.
