God I loved this! Beautifully written!

I have been very guilty of reading your stories and not reviewing them, especially in light of how much I love them.

Your first scenario here is still the funniest I have seen as a possibility for Sherlock's return. As I read it I remember being extremely disappointed that it wasn't going to happen that way, because that would have been absolutely hilarious.
The second is so awful that I hate even reading it, but that was rather the point, I suppose.
I love the third, and you can tell how desperate Sherlock is getting by that point. Even in his sleep his mind is looking for a solution that will allow him to see John sooner.
John's 'I am getting my hug' line from the fourth always makes me laugh! Though I was beginning to think by this point that you were using up all your good options for how the reunion would actually take place.
And then the final scenario. Sherlock's anxiety is believable (I was getting worried too) and then the ending is perfect (even if Sherlock thought it would be boring). It was so calming and sharply in focus and perfectly captured the feeling of coming home.

I love this story, too. Sherlock spending so much time imagining how and when and where he'd see John again is so touching. It makes me very happy to imagine that the one time it really happened would have been such a good moment. So thanks for giving me all sorts of good feelings with this story.

May we put this story in the Canon Addicts community, too? (In case you're wondering - "canon compatible" in our definition means "at the time of posting", so this story totally qualifies.)

Actually, if Mycroft had told John before Sherlock could surprise him in TEH, perhaps he could have avoided being physically attacked by John three times and not gotten a split lip and bloody news. Or maybe he would anyway.

Makes me want to search through youtube! LOL! This was so warmly satisfying. Love, love, love Sherlock's daydream of John grabbing him and telling him to shut up, because he was going to get his hug! Also loved the nod to ACD and the scene with the mannequin. Your idea of having Sherlock daydream different scenarios was brilliant, because it gave us a reason to see several different versions of their reunion instead of just one. Because we just can't get enough of that, can we?

Dear Gallifrey, I cried so much. I am going mad waiting for The Empty Hearse and this...didn't help. But I enjoyed it anyway! You're an incredible author.
