I fucking love this. And-Jack and Ianto rehearsing quotes, perfect. It's like something they'd do. And your descriptions! Livid, beautiful, it felt like I was there.

Congrats on the length training. It certainly seems to be working out well! (I know, I know-I'm many stories behind on your updates. . . . But looking at your current stories it certainly seems it, at least sometimes.) I liked the descriptions in this piece, especially with the gates. I even like the place this piece stops at, with the implication of what the doctor will do and that everything is happily ever after, without outright stating it.

Absolutely amazing story! your writing is just gorgeous, and though I'm not normally one for this type of AU, you played all of the characters out so brilliantly, and the story flowed really well. I think that you could have kept going with this, turning it into a multi-chapter story. I'm sad to see it end, but I'll definitely keep an eye on your other work :)

First off, I'm not sure I think Ianto IS much of a woobie here; it's not as if he just sits around like the proverbial damsel in distress, waiting for the equally proverbial knight in shining armour to come rescue him - and, honestly, dying and being revived only to find oneself turned into a demi-god (and held prisoner) against one's will would be enough to make anyone a little maudlin.

If anyone's a woobie here I'd say it's Jack, but if you subscribe to the idea that the two of them really are soul mates - which I do, because I want the world to be pretty - then it's very much in character.

As usual, your writing makes me all mushy inside and, also as usual, it makes me like things and people I normally don't (Eleven, in this case).

I really like your OCs; they're well-crafted and unique without being over the top, and, along with the descriptions of the twin worlds and all other details in this 'verse, they paint a complex and entirely believable picture.

It just now occurred to me that you often avoid making up names, and that, I think, is a good thing, since names are such a very personal preference (and I think mine agrees with yours, because the names you do make up, like Sekheme, work well for me).
