Hey Fastpilot. This is a great little story idea. I love sneaking into the minds of peripheral characters, and you don't get more peripheral than the SDPD. It never occurred to me before to wonder what they made of Buffy, and how they handled her on a daily basis. I'm glad you did. I love the idea that they might have had an "avoid Miss Summers" policy for her bad nights, and the way it ended on a question which was reflective of her life really. If you ever come up with a way to handle a sequel, I'd love to read it.

The sunnydale PD are often written off for a joke. Excellent work.

Very nice indeed. I do like pov from the officer. Agreed, most of the time, SPD comes off like the Keystone cops. You handled it very well.

Great story! The perspective of the Sunnydale police was a story waiting to be told, and this one is well done. Quality.

Very convincing and *sniff* touching story of someone we never met in the series who cared about Buffy, appreciated her protection and mourned her passing.

I just found your work. This is one of the most original approaches to the Buffyverse that I have read. It made me cry too. Yes, the police should have known something. Too bad that they couldn't have teamed up to make things easier on everyone.

I really enjoyed this story and I must admit I've only ever seen one stroy where the police were considered helpful in the same manner that did in this story.

I can't wait to see a sequal and to find out what the police think about the newly risen Buffy and if MacElhain will approach and see if the cops can help. Good luck and hope to see the sequal soon.

Great premise. I agree that this need more follow-up. I always felt that the SDPD could not have been that dense; someone in the dept. had to have know what was going on. Geez, if the kids in high school could figure it out, you'd think that detectives could too? Your style is very flowing, easy to read. Thanks!
