What a wonderful story. It shows just how much between Robin they have in common. It also shows how they both dealt with death in their own ways.

This is particularly poignant to me at this time, as my wife lost her father last week. It was unexpected, and shocked everyone who knew him. Though he was 78, he was in basically good health, and if the staff at the hospital had been paying attention AT ALL, he'd still be with us.

This little vignette is good enough that I will add it to Favorites. You write grief well.

It has been a while since you have posted a story. I thought this was very sweet and well written. I just lost my granddad a few days ago, and I wrote a little something to be read at the funeral I could not go to due to work, and it sounds very much like the last sentence of your story. Good job! and thank you, it made me smile.
