Reviews for I'll Be There For You
peut-etre-poulet chapter 1 . 8/21/2013
I absolutely adore the Marley and Unique chapter. I love how it was funny but then there were real and deep emotions in there as well, an absolutely beautiful combination. I can clearly imagine them baking together in my head. Unique's comment regarding the animals being cuter as her coat made me laugh, so perfectly in character. As a Community fan I was glad to see the reference, I can definitely see these two being fans of the show. Well done

Okay, you've managed to get me missing the days when I actually didn't mind when Rachel and Finn as a couple, possibly because it's it's so easy to imagine this kind of thing happening early on in their relationship, when things were fresh and new and they were still actual friends as well as a couple, instead of just being Finchel.

That comment at the end about them feeling like they're "the kind of love that people tune in to see" was a nice nudge at the fourth wall. If that is what it was, anyway. If not, feel free to ignore me.

Ah, these two. My two favourite adults on the show, and in only four paragraphs you managed to capture them perfectly.

This was... I think the word I want to use is "magical". It makes perfect sense that dancing would bring Blaine and Brittany together, and the idea of Brittany trying to teach Blaine to dancing on the floor instead of the furniture is too adorable for words.

Also, for some reason I love the idea that Brittany and Sam are both really good friends with Blaine, but their friendships are so different that they don't really overlap, even though they're dating each other. Does that make sense?

Another friendship I never really thought that much about, though of course there were some moments of it in season one, I believe? That was a while ago, I don't really remember.

The idea that Kurt and Tina actually started the sewing team for New Directions together makes perfect sense, and you did an excellent job of touching on the way it all fell on Tina's shoulders most of the time after Kurt spread his proverbial wings.

Mentioning that Tina was the one who helped him put his portfolio together was the perfect way to end it. It almost seemed like a callback to season one when she helped him with his Beyonce number. Was that intentional, or am I making something out of nothing?

I admit, I've never thought very much about Blaine and Mike as friends, but that seems to what makes them work so well here. The whole time I was reading it, I was thinking: this is a friendship that the people around them wouldn't think about much or even really notice. And then you basically said as much at the end when you mentioned Kurt and Rachel, so I hope that means I at least understand the basics of Blaine and Mike's friendship.

I especially liked the little hints at the future; the way they stayed friends even if they barely saw each other. Again, based on what little I've picked up from this, it makes perfect sense for them.

One of my favourite things about this season has definitely been the friendship between Marley and Unique, and you captured that beautifully here. As short as it is, I had no trouble at all picturing it all happening in my head.

Lovely. I like the Blaine and Mike one the best but all are great. Very nice, indeed. More please?
