I've just finished chapter 2 but yep, i'm feeling the story already :)

Are we going to get to see Tifa's soft side? I'm getting a little bit bored of her tough gal, totally hard exterior persona. Not that you can't portray her any way you wish. I'd just love to see a glimpse of the true and genuine kind, nurturing, compassionate and soft hearted daydreamer Tifa. The one that made Cloud fall for her. I thought this side came out with her treatment of Shuyin, but it ended up being an act. In this fic I sort of thought she was hiding some major hurt from the past and chose not to reveal her vulnerbilities to anyone. But I'm a bit sick of agro Tifa. Reading this primarily for the intricate plot now. Hope you update :)

I like the premise and the development so far. Reminds me of Pro Bono in being another take on Cloud being involved in a more realistic form of law enforcement.

There's a serial killer on the loose? Damn, I wonder who it is? Are they testing on teenagers or something?

I'm enjoying the faster pace.

Breaking off the Shuyin part seems a bit abrupt to me, what was the point of that story arc?

Wow! I honestly had no idea that Cloud went through all that stuff! I guess some people really can move past it and make a success of themselves.

Well I'm glad shuyin isn't the killer, because he's just too cute, although I am curious on what the newest piece of evidence is!

I wonder who killer could be? HAHA, I love this story; its very descriptive and a little mind bobbling too in a good way, with some of the final fantasy characters present in here. But I have to say, Final fantasy 7 is my favorite by far, and the fact that you put my favorite pair, Cloud and Tifa, together as partners in crime is perfect - Tifa being the rookie tough girl and Cloud being the experienced cold detective.

Though the setting and plot of the story is in no way "final fantasy" material, you did a terrific job in converting the characters into a modern day murder mystery story, and I do enjoy a good mystery - I watch a lot of that stuff on television.

Overall, I would give this a good 4.5/5 and I hope to make the qualities of my stories just as good as yours someday. And again, thanks for your reviews.

So much stuff! OMG! Hard to keep up and it's all rolling down hill! So good! Can't wait to see where all of this goes!

I'm glad we got a look into Cloud's past. But where was Zack in all that? Since he's Cloud's brother, you'd think he was with him in that uncle's house. That he jumped around foster homes too.

Mmmmmmm... I really like the faster pace, but I'm kind of confused as to why Tifa would suddenly arrest Shuyin like that. So could you get me back up to date on where the plot is? I kind of forgot who died and who exactly Tifa and Cloud are looking for. Are they after a crime syndicate or just a lone murderer?

Also, I really really think you should drop the Crime/Romance - Cloud/Tifa tag. This is most definitely not Cloti, and the poor Cloti fans are clicking on this hoping for a good crime and romance Cloti fanfic. Don't let anyone push you around into doing what you don't wanna do... but I think it'd just be easier to label this either as a Clearith fic, or just a Cloud/Tifa FRIENDSHIP.
