I cried at the end this was an awesome read!

Ahhh you break my heart, god. When I was reading the moment between Hime and Ulqui, when he was telling her about their life and how much he loved her I briefly realized that my background music was Pieces by Red (such a heartbreaking song) I cried harder at the coincidence and gosh, this is such a turmoil of emotions. I haven't cried because of a fic for a long, long time. I came here for GrimmHime, but found myself rooting for Ulquiorra since chapter one. I do hope that he does get through Hime.

Despite all the twists and turns, I have to say this story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and a different, yet intensely satisfying ending. Kudos to you!

This is so sad. I wanna give poor Ulquiorra a great big hug. Stupid Orihime. Never have liked her much, unless she is with Ulquiorra. He makes her interesting.

It’s not so hard to predict the plot, given I have read a similiar story once from different fandom, but it’s not stop me to enjoy yours. There’s the time I thought of the end, that Grimmjow would lost himself to the darkness in his heart, to be swallowed by his hatred and his desire to avenge, and it’s him who would turn out to be the villain in the end. Or finally Ulquiorra would succumb to his vampire nature, become heartless and it’s Orihime who would make him remember and to take him come back to home.
I think the hunters and the vampires have one thing in common. They could be careless of everybody or everything except their own race. The vampires could mocked Grimmjow as an ungrateful brat who slaughtered his own mother after she save his live by killed her husband. They acted like the victim itself when one by one be killed by the hunters, blamed it’s Orihime who bring it to them. But the fact is it’s them who was the first to start the war. They treatment toward humans. And of course it’s also the vampires who create Grimmjow as the vampire slayer in the first place.
I find that I prefer Ulquiorra in Orihime’s imaginary world than Ulquiorra in real world. His character as Cain is more complicated and it’s make him more intriguing. How he struggle with the darkness that plague inside his heart, how he fight the battle against his own self while racing with the ticking time. To keep the love he have for Orihime, the sole purpose of his ariving, and to keep the humanity in him still intact. Become adapt to the strange world. Be responsible of the vampires he lead. And damn if the star-crossed lover thing didn’t drummed my heart beat! The Ulquiorra in the real world is just so plain in comparison to the Cain-Ulquiorra. Yes, it’s weird to talk about him as two different person. Hhh, he’s such a wonderful husband.
