I forgot whether I reviewed this or not I just wanted to say this AU story was AMAZEBALLS

Wow. Just wow. Even if you don't read it i'm trying to leave an eloquent review anyways.
I just found this story and read the whole thing in one go.
Not gonna lie, i was very hesitant when i started because i love DW as it is i don't really dig the human Doctor, no timey-wimey stuff. I believe that life can be shitty as it is, there is no need for my favourite sci fi/fantasy character to go through the stupid, pathetic and sad things the rest of us humans go through on a daily bases. But you completely blew me away with this amazing story.
I'm not sure what it says about me but i felt so identified with the Patches from the early chapters hahaha.
You also managed to make me hate for a little while my favourite DW character ever! (River) whom i realized that if you place her in a non timey-wimey environment the psychopathic side shines like fireworks lol.
So i guess i want to thank you for the mostly-pleasant-but-very-painful read. I'm a bit of a masochist anyways so it's fine!
You're an amazing author! Keep up the good work!

I love you. I love this fic and I love you. I can't even remember how I stumbled across this story 3 years, but I can't even being to express how much it means to me. Jamie, or 11, with all his noodle-y gestures, is utterly bursting with originality and is so unknowingly and so unapologetically GENUINE—always barreling towards things/people he finds fascinating. I wish all people were like Jamie. I wish I were like Jamie. Dearest Jamie. We could all be better, happier, more interesting people if we approached life like him. And although he only exists in your fic, he's honestly a character I look up to (sorry that sounds super cheesy but it's true). Me, like Amy, stare enraptured, “the way art students must stare at paintings: with loving obsession.” And Amy. Oh Amy Pond, is so human, so relatable, so dynamic, so problematic, so HUMAN, so great for Jamie. I'm so sorry I'm rambling but I really really love this fic like so so much. I've read this fic over and over and over and over again since I discovered it like 3 years ago on AO3. And it's in my top 3 all-time greatest fanfics EVER read. And this fic is so different from any other AU I've ever read, and at first I was skeptical b/c it didn't refer to the Canon much, but you quelled those concerns so brilliantly. You did such a fantastic and brilliant job creating this piece of fiction, period/full stop. Truly, truly amazing writing and IDEAS. There were so many times when I'd just have to take a break and stare at the ceiling for 10 minutes to snap back to reality and remind myself that: yes, I do live in NYC like these characters, and I've sat on those same rocks Jamie and Amy have in Central Park, but I can't go see them in person, because well, it was all in my head :(. And I could vividly and completely visualize EVERYTHING in this story—I always get complete immersed in it, it's insane. Like I demanded my best friend read this, even though she knows absolutely nothing about Doctor Who, and she's in love with this fic now, too. And we'd be reading side-by-side and I'd check up on where she was upto and I'd read one line and I'd know exactly where she was upto in the plot. ! I know this story so well and it makes me so happy. You've enriched my life and my imagination and I am so entirely grateful. I love you, dearest writer. I love you. You have an amazing, amazing talent and I look forward to reading more. ️ All my love, Fiend.

That was a great story. Thank you, thank you for giving it a happy ending. It's 3:30 in the morning and I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't ended happily after all that. That's the beauty of fanfiction after all, we get to have the happy endings. Thanks again for the marvelous story.

Great ending! I love all the character development in this story and that it takes place over a long period of time. The Pictorial section of this chapter was wonderful. The ending was perfect!

Or maybe a one-shot on this particular line in Chapter 11: "In the bedroom, she opens the drawer and discovers not only the wallet but a half-depleted jar of lube, which she stares at for far too long. The main question is his or theirs, either answer bringing different upsets. Entirely flustered, she takes the card and runs back to her computer."

Oh wow - an epilogue I didn't know I wanted but then you proved that I did. Just like this story. :-p What a whirl-wind it's been - and I love that you placed them firmly in the realistic married coupledom instead of all hearts and flowers (though I didn't doubt you would.) I absolutely died at this line: "Nat screams, and he starts to cry too, so Jamie tries to hug them both at the same time and starts singing the Itsy Bitsy spider, like that's going to do something." Something about that image just made me giggle and aww with delight at it. It was so wonderfully domestic, yet so very Amy and so very Jamie. I just adored it. What a beautiful, heart-wrenching, twisty, curvy lovely story. Brava brava brava! :)
