That was pretty cute! Not sure how in-character, since they're kids, but I didn't read anything that made me think, my god, they would never act like that! and this is your story, so your interpretation. Sherlock was amazingly adorable when he said he wanted to cure the flu, and Mummy Holmes was a believable parent. I liked how neither Mycroft nor Sherlock wanted to miss school, and how Mycroft just kind of dealt with Sherlock being around, and thought that "sentiment" was getting to him. I did find Mycroft's strategy to draw his mother into the room to see that he was sick a bit of a sudden 180 from the day before - it was at least stated that he had a fever, etc. but I didn't get the sense that he had made a mental decision to give up appearances and skip school prior to his mother knocking on his door. Anyway, this was a generally entertaining and fun oneshot. The Sherlock-Mycroft interaction was pretty adorable, and I enjoyed it.

It's cute. But I don't think Sherlock wouldn't know the difference between having a point and not having one, or even seeing through picture books. There are normal children who moves on to novels without pictures by the time they're five. It's just not Sherlock to think he's not big enough for Encyclopedia, or look through books which clearly won't contain anything about sickness. And he won't mess up TLC with TLV.
So, cute child fluff, but SO not Sherlock.

The Holmes brothers were on good terms when they were kids - yep, i'm sure of that! Though Sherlock already has a sharp tongue: "Oh." Sherlock said, removing his hands. "Well, you're always swollen so there's no point in that." Hehe;) Other than that he is a perfect 'doctor' ;)

"She came to the bed and gently pulled the book from Sherlock's hands and tucked the blankets around both of her sleeping sons, closing the door quietly behind her." Adorable!

This is just so cute. What a good and sweet little brother Sherlock is. Lovely.
