I honestly have no idea why I didn't review this chapter. I might have, but I'm not sure, I didn't even check thoroughly at all, so it might say "you already reviewed this chapter, dumbass." I do want to say "holy shit it's been a while." A half year has passed since I read this chapter. What the actual fuck? I'm not even mad at the lack of updates, by the way, I'm just mind fucked because I can't believe how much shit has happened since then for myself. I've always been lucky because I had read fanfics that are already updated and usually completed. This is the one of the first times that I ever understood the struggle of a story-lover awaiting it's next installment, at least for this duration.

ANYWAYS, hopefully I'm not wasting my time typing this by having already reviewed, but whatever, I have all of it to waste at the moment. This seemed like a pretty standard setup chapter. It seems like you, Chocolate-Owl-Author-Lady, had trouble with a smooth transition in which you showed and didn't tell. Despite that assumption, this is a great chapter to hype up the audience for a meet up between two great friends, whether it even happens is also a test that I have come to expect from a complex tale (of the Lost Sun) such as this. It's pretty exciting... For real. That wasn't sarcasm. I know I'm bad with sarcasm in speech(weird, right?), but hopefully it makes sense in text. (Seriously, sarcasm just gets away from me for some reason.)

ANYWAYS(pt.2) I'm gonna keep wasting my life away by playing a game that I've been addicted to for roughly four years. I wish the amount of time that I played the game was accurate, but the counter won't exceed nine hundred ninety-one hours and fifty-nine minutes :(

That's some fucked up story. There are so many questions unexplained. For example what happened to Naruto's memory? I mean there was enough time for him to recover but nooo... He is still useless in many ways. You have changed a great character completely! I mean all of his life he dedicated to his friends and now he doesn't even care about them?

Great update as always, you little Chocolate-Addicted Owl! I particularly liked the chase scene, it stuck out to me because it felt like Fuuga, despite his recent mental and physical turmoil, felt alive through the hunt. It was nice for me to see him experience that sensation, even if it were through a dirty act such as killing, and despite its brevity. Also the epic air assassination helped the badass level of the whole situation.

The party aspect was cool, and I'm glad that it went well for those who attended. ;) It showed how the world was still going on around the main characters as per usual while it enhanced the already existing aspect of Fuuga working in the shadows to protect the light, even more so than an average shinobi would. This sentiment is further strengthened by his obliteration of the chakra monster that he poached, those exist all over the Nations, after all. Unfortunately for Kese, it seems that one of his future (or current?) enemies became stronger because of it.

Also, the seemingly unintended brainwashing that the Mist did to get him loyal was dark. Keep Kiri happy, keep family and friends happy and more importantly, alive. That's not a bad thing, though, darkness is awesomeness! Although they of course did have to beat some obedience into him, but the terrors and monsters under his bed(hallucinations) didn't interfere with their cause.

The nightmares were pretty epic in my mind's eye, I kind of subconsciously imagined Mothra from the Godzilla movies, but smaller and more numerous, all wreaking havoc on Fuuga's loved ones and his home. A fun thought, that one!

Speaking of home, the fact that Fuuga/ Kese/ Naruto Uzumaki is learning the techniques of his ancestors, though he is oblivious to the fact, was really sweet. Kind of like his own inheritance, just without him knowing, and whether or not Mei is aware of his ancestry, though unlikely, is also a fun mystery.

The triple name(one of them he doesn't know, and he may have forgotten the other) dynamic that Fuuga has going layers on a despairing feeling, I wouldn't be surprised if the assassin had a full blown identity crisis paired with a complete breakdown of his mental fortitude.

The memories or visions from the target's during the chase reminded me of many a video game and are no doubt clues to puzzles, foreshadowing future events and more puzzles. Though I don't have enough to piece it all together in my head yet, at least not as I am now, I might reread to try a d pick up full synch. ;)

I look forward to seeing more of Fuuga and his secret (or not so secret, for shinobi that worked with him) affiliation with Mist and how it plays out. How his eventual escape is executed, and the solutions to his lasting mental and emotional distress which affect his physical performance as well, if there are any, and hopefully there are. Although the last one on the list seems to be the hardest, I think.

Once again, you succeed in bringing sustenance through satisfaction and the desire for solved mysteries. The sequence will be a fun one to complete, however it is that it may end.

I'm pretty sure that I wanted to talk about more, I think, but all of the compliments were jumbled up in my head and some must have fallen out. I apologize for not being constructively criticizing, but I may have been blinded by the beauty of this story and have become biased. Uhh, grammar and spelling, I guess. Meh, that's good enough :p

Awaiting your next update, and remember, don't rush! If you're going to write, pour your heart into it and make it your best, because that's what we want your words to make us feel. Don't be overly critical of your own work, though, you might not like it at first or something, so look at it with a level head and then decide. See from you soon, friend, I hope!

Here's hoping that this review finds you well! I must say, I am enjoying this story, and I love that it's a Assassin's Creed cross-over, but I am curious about why your keeping Naruto or rather Kese, from accepting his assassin's persona, and thereby handycapping him as you are? I get that he has amnesia, but even still, what with being told who he was, and starting to accept that part, but still thinking of himself as Magor, instead of from the Elemental Nations, and Konoha in particular, by keeping him in denial and fighting his true heritage, outside of being a ninja, honestly, your dragging the story, and killing interest, and leaving plot holes and threads unanswered. Like I said, I like the story, I like the premise, and all that, but honestly, you need to move him more towards accepting his abilities, and his true nature as an Assassin/Ninja, both are one and the same, but yet different, because as an Assassin, he isn't for hire, but as a ninja, he serves a village, or he can serve himself as a nukenin, I just hope that you will update when your muse decides it's time, and will honestly start to move the story more forward, and move Naruto/Kese towards truly accepting ALL of his past, and heritage, the Assassin/Ninja parts of himself, that keep springing up to cause him difficulty, because he absorbed his adopted homes values, but still, he is a protector, and as a protector, he has to be willing to set aside that part of himself, the Assassin's didn't kill just because, they killed to protect, Naruto/Kese needs to find that balance in himself, and that's what is dragging the story, with your not allowing the story to flow more. Grammar and spelling issues, and missing words can be dealt with, dragging the story will cause people to lose interest, and that's not what those of us following and faving this story want to have happen! Again, here's hoping that this finds you well, and working on this or other stories. I am looking forward to the next chapters, whenever they appear!

I'm surprised that he is holding back so much, if it were me, i would already have nuked the fucking cespit to hell.

That memory was absolutely delectable! I loved every second of it. The one thing that I thought really stood out was the chakra monster. Was that "flash" of an image that Fuuga saw depicting the Nanabi Chomei? It could be something totally different, but it was something, that's for sure. The Nanabi is my speculation. The emotion and drama in this chapter was pretty heavy. Seriously, I can't get enough of this story. That being said, take your time and don't rush it. Even though this chapter was on the shorter side, it was a good type of short. I wouldn't particularly care for a poorly written, insipid, long chapter. Keep them the way you have been doing them, because so far, the formula is working. Great chapter, we're all looking forward to more of your great writing! :D

i am in such a love hate relationship with this story, i read the entire thing today, couldn't help myself, but i have to say this is one of the better written stories out there, can wait for an update, I'm interested in seeing just whom our lovely protagonist will actually have a romantic relationship with, keep up the good work.

I actually feel bad about not reviewing on your earlier chapters. This is hands down the most unique and interesting fanfic I have read, possibly ever. It always pulls me in to keep reading it, and you are one very skilled author. Your different dialog format bothered me at first, but then I took to it quite well. The entire story is very well done, and flows beautifully. I love how you have connected the two worlds of AC and Naruto, through time, of course! And the way that you explained the substitute of the animus(Kese's dreams) and the bleeding effect were very creative and enjoyable to read about. The descriptions you use, while not quite top notch, give the reader just enough to understand your intentions as an author depicting a scene, however, it keeps the reader's ability to imagine the setting and characters as he likes, and you do this with perfect balance in my opinion. The only low points that I can really pick out are the minor grammar errors, which I usually am much more strict about with my criticisms. But that is to be expected when not writing in one's native language. Which by the way is a major strength of yours, I believe. Hearing that you are not native to the English language, and then seeing you write so skillfully really astounds and kind of inspires me a little. Keep on writing, because a lot of people enjoy your story the same as I do. I feed on good fanfics, and I need this one to continue its tale, or I might die! Keep up the great writing, many of your readers admire it.
