Reviews for My Other Name
KyloRen'sgirl213 chapter 1 . 12/6/2019
Omg love it very much
Rasu chapter 3 . 4/12/2019
Gods, I love this two way manipulation...though it seems Rose is on the upperhand for now :D
Guest chapter 1 . 3/17/2019
Coming back to this story and reading it again after years of being away from FFnet has me feeling both nostalgic and inspired. I've missed your writing and this amazing story! Love, Angela :)
Guest chapter 9 . 12/20/2018
Hi I don’t know if you are going to read this, but I write it anyway. Your Queen looks like a Mary Sue to me. She is just to perfect powerful and because of that your story loses much of its plausibility. But you portrayed Reaver quite well so good Job :)
GwenWallace chapter 25 . 11/2/2018
Hey there! I can't remeber if I wrote a review the last time I read your story. Shame on me if I didn't, because I loved it. You depicted Reaver wonderfully in so many ways and your style and choice of words was a pleasure to read. In the games we only ever saw small glimpses of his inner musings which always left me wondering how much of a selfish uncaring man he really had become and if there really were a chance to still find traces of the mortal man beneath the surface. Your storyline was great! The whole concept of the different Deamon doors and worlds was great.

I have read a few depictions of him already from Kiltsaresexy- who is awesome- Reavera who is currently trying to capture the true darkness inside his heart, rewriting an earlier version and I'll deffinitely get to reading Agelacm in due time.

The biggest similarity among the different romance stories betweeen either Reaver and Sparrow, or Reaver and the Princess I have read, always makes me smile, because it seems that each writers fondness for this handsome, whicked rogue is so great, they can't wait to bring the two characters together and develope feelings for another. I mean it's supposed to be a romance after all, but I always think it should not be that simple even though I love reading it.

I can only recommend Reaveras two stories: "In War and Love" which was unfortunately discontinued and its rewrite currently in the making "Captive Heart". I believe she noticed as well and is trying to show the effort it would take to really change a man such as Reaver.

Nonetheless I don't know if you're considering to continue this story's sequel - life is busy after all - but thank you for all this work and good luck to you!
MotherOfJynx chapter 11 . 10/27/2017
Hi, I suspect since this was published so long ago you are probably not going to finish this story, but I just wanted you to know that I have really enjoyed it. You create characters that are fleshed out to be believable very quickly.
AlianaKensington chapter 25 . 6/23/2016
This was marvelous. Your attention to detail and depth have given life to these characters. A fantastic read; one I am likely to visit again.
Rebeldynasty chapter 16 . 2/9/2015
Excellent work on the scene involving the Shadow Judges; Reaver's desperation was palpable, and what Rose said to him-that what happened to Oakvale wasn't his fault, that he never would have imagined or wanted something so horrible to come about, in his desperation to be saved from drowning-I agree with, wholeheartedly.

It's a relief to see that Angela actually survived, that her screams were anguish, not death throes.

The parting line was also brilliant; I can't wait to see how Reaver deals with the Shadow Judges, knowing all that he knows, now.
Rebeldynasty chapter 15 . 2/9/2015
Sorry I haven't reviewed for a bit.

Reaver's flashback with Angela was very endearing, and very insightful. I can't help feeling a bit sorry for him, for how things turned out, in the end.

Uh-oh...the issue with the Shadow Judges. I hadn't even thought that it might come to this. O_O
Rebeldynasty chapter 14 . 1/14/2015
Ah, so the name Adrian was chosen by you; I wasn't sure if it was his real name before Reaver, or not.

In any case, the name works just as well as any other.

Looking forward to seeing how things pan out for them in the next chapter.
Rebeldynasty chapter 13 . 1/13/2015
This was a very touching chapter; it's so good to see Reaver with such depth to his character. I wonder if Rose truly can save him, after all-or if something will happen to undo everything they've endured, and have yet to endure?

Adrian, huh? Was that Reaver's true name, before the Oakvale incident?
Rebeldynasty chapter 12 . 1/13/2015
The beginning of this chapter was very nice; I liked the playful banter between Rose and Reaver, how she's every bit as witty as he is. 'The second half was definitely more subdued, as it needed to be; it's very clear that he's changed a lot, to feel any level of shame over what he had done-and the fact that he's grown so protective of Rose shows that he has changed; the Reaver of the past wouldn't have cared who he hurt, to get what he wanted.

This I great. I can't wait to dive into more.
Rebeldynasty chapter 11 . 1/13/2015
It's so refreshing, seeing Reaver's transformation like this; to realize he wasn't the same man he once was, that he had, in fact, been changed between the events of the games (and the novel, which I must look for as soon as humanly possible).

His conflicting feelings about his past self were really well done, and the ending to this chapter was perfect. :)
Rebeldynasty chapter 10 . 1/13/2015
I like how you pointed out the Queen's sudden change in demeanor. Like Reaver, I had expected Rose to be much harder on him, after he'd hurt Lillian. Her compassion didn't baffle me the way it baffled him, but I did wonder why she was being so kind to him again-aside from her naturally being a kind person. I think I'm beginning to understand, now.

I also like how you've given Reaver depth. He's done many an evil or selfish thing, yes, but it doesn't make him an outright evil person-and you've touched on that. It's fascinating, seeing things through his eyes like this.
Rebeldynasty chapter 9 . 1/13/2015
This was brilliant-it almost has a Dicken's feel to it, what with them viewing the events from the Past; I can't help thinking Rose is trying to make Reaver see the error of his ways-and that showing him is futile...at least until they reach a certain point in the past...such as Oakvale.

Or perhaps he will be capable of remorse sooner than that; I love how this is keeping me on my toes. I have no idea which way things will go from here, but the possibilities seem endless.

Great prose, as always. :) I got a chuckle out of him viewing his past self in maroon. I quite liked his soul patch, but I agree-he does look much nicer in his white get-up, than the maroon cape and such. ;)

I wonder if Rose already knows of Reaver's betrayal to Sparrow those years ago, and if not-how she'll react? I guess I'll find out!
