I wish you had also wrote the Barney 101 revenge class cause it would be awesome and honestly a totally apropriate parallel — cause both Ted and Lily are teachers and just like Ted knows lots of stuff about Robin, so does Lily about Barney.

I kinda felt the last line was too unfriendship-y. And kinda creepy, but then again, its Barney, but if i were reading this without context id think they had the hots for each other. This is simply a character observation, its actually a very on point thing to write, and im just REALLY starting to understand how deeply flawed Barney is as a person and why Robin had serious doubts despite how much he loves her! So well written though.

Even tho it's been super long since you last updated, I'm still really hoping for another chapter. This is one of my favorite fan fictions on the whole site! Thank you for all 50 chapters of the best friendship on the whole show! (For real, though, the Lily and Barney friendship was on point!)

Woah, Shannon, look at you being a real character with actual feelings and regrets normal motivations for your actions.

I really like this one. Barney and his violin may be my OTP, there's never too much of that. And I know that Barney really is kind of broken, but I still agree with his point here, that no matter who else you may love, it's weird to not be the most important person in your own life. I think Lily in particular has a problem with this, we so rarely see her really do anything that's just for her that isn't destructive.

Wow, this was fascinating. I always wondered, the odds of Lily bumping into Barne's old love, so I loved that you gave that background and got into Shannon's head a bit. Great job!

I thought this chapter was fantastic. I find Shannon fascinating (to the point I want to fic about her at some point too) yes she's selfish, but she's so young at the point, and it wasn't her fault that Barney took what she did to heart. There's also a lot to be said that she's the one who makes the move to reconnect to Barney, she's suffered too from being a single mum, she's the one who invites him in, she and Barney actually have a conversation before they sleep together - there's a lot more to Shannon than meets the eye and, even in terms of "Game Night" (where Barney still keeps his cards very close to his chest and only reveals his story on his own terms) she helps show his human side.

You show this all really well in this. Just this heartbreaking "what if" between two people who have lost their chance while still holding something from each other. I also particularly like the fact you made Shannon fully aware that it was a one night stand, it makes it all the more heartbreaking that Barney meets her on equal terms (at least if we ignore the fact he videos her) but feels the necessity to lie about it afterwards.

I like this chapter. Shannon is often portrayed as a cruel and heartless bitch, but I don't think that. She made mistakes but we all made mistakes at some point. She was the last straw to Barney becoming the "sociopath bad womanizing" he is, but I'm sure she didn't mean to. They should had made an episode telling her side, I don't know. This storyline wasn't a lot worked out in the show, they focused more in the abadon issues Barney had with his dad and kinda forgotten the Shannon breaking his heart thing. Not complaining, after all the abandon and broken home it was obvious the principal factor to his bad personality.
