Ch18: Well, now I know why Marco was fine for Sabo to be around Ace.

I am very intrigued. It's so curious how Marco seems to be so suspicious and cold around the terrified Luffy but somehow Sabo was alright in Marco's book even though Sabo stated he considered what Ace did as unforgivable. Also, Sabo and Luffy knew each other and Sabo seemed to care an awful lot about Luffy still so why was it that Luffy was allowed to live so miserably - smooching food off of friends, starving to the point of stealing from jobs, constantly worrying about where to scrounge up rent money? Did they lose contact with each other somehow? Was that it? It's so curious!

I know that this is an AU and in this AU, Ace apparently did some horrible things to Luffy and I don't know the whole story but I did feel bad when Marco told Luffy not to hurt Ace. I mean, it's Luffy who's clearly more terrified of Ace than it is the other way around. But, no matter how horrible he may have been (and to Luffy no less! oh, he did indeed try to kill smol baby Luffy multiple times in canon but like Ace did eventually become one of the best brothers there are), I just am NOT used to anyone badmouthing Ace. Ace is- he's just so precious and deserves the love and he's a treasure, but okay yes, this is an alternate universe. I shut up.

Luffy sounds so- so pitiful. What'd Ace do really? But, right now, I'm more worried about Marco hitting Ace twice on the head so far, once with his shoe and the second time with a tray. Honestly, go a little easy on the amnesiac, man~

Maybe a typical amnesia story... But an epic and very good one ! The idea of the devil drug is awesome ! I'm glad you have added it. Why this gun is here ? Will we see Dragon ? Will Luffy have some power ? So much questions and I can't wait to read the answers...
