I've been pretty mutual in regards to the whole Debster idea before I read this. But the way you've written this, it completely makes sense why Deb would have these feelings for Dexter and him for her in return without him realising it. You've pushed me towards being a shipper. I really enjoyed this little piece. You perfectly captured the tension of that thin line between siblings and lovers that is continually at play with these two. I particularly liked the hints of Dexter's humanity, whether sexually or, even more crucially, emotionally (the kitten was a lovely touch).

A quick technical note: when you're connecting dialogue with a verb related to speaking (e.g., said, muttered, yelled), use a comma instead of a period inside the quotation marks.
