Your taking on how this curse will eventually drive the Captain to the depths of despair seems very believable and, unfortunately, very ... right.

The theory that ,as time evolves, so do his own abilities and powers ... also feels accurate.

Terrifying. Well done. this story gave me more nightmares than any horror would. You've captured the ultimate consequences of being truly immortal. My only consolation is to think one broken down Type 40 TARDIS couldn't possibly have the power to do this, so it must be a nightmare Jack is having.
