I don't follow the 2012 series at all but this is beautiful. I love Splinter's heartbreak and Mikey's insight. I love the comfort they both give the other. Well done. Well done indeed. :)

This was a lovely story and a touching look at Splinter's personal feelings. I especially loved the moment with Michelangelo. Beautifully done.

Awesome job on this story. Yes, I can see Splinter feeling this way about his enemy having a daughter. I like how Mikey sought reassurance from Splinter and tried to comfort him, which is something Mikey would do. Nicely done on this. I really liked it.

I don't think Splinter knew whether Miwa was killed, but he probably assumed it since he lost Tang Shen in the fire and figured Miwa didn't live either. However, I do think Karai is actually Miwa and that Shredder took her as a reminder of Shen and what he'd lost. I'm sure many other fans are thinking the same thing as well.

Interesting take. I never really thought about how Splinter would feel about the Shredder having a daughter. It's especially going to be a tough blow if Karai really is Miwa. I like how you made Mikey more insightful instead of just the usual clueless idiot he's portrayed as. He would be the best to comfort Splinter out of all of them.
