This is AMAZING!

This. I'm not even sure that I can do this any justice. Because this is /raw/, this is /real/, this is just /beautiful/. I didn't think that you could tug at my heartstrings with Dudley, but you did. You were playing my heartstrings so badly during this.

[You pick up a girlfriend /drop her two weeks later for another /juggle four at once /dump them all within a month] - this is particularly interesting. But it's very fitting for Dudley, since we all know that he got bored quickly with all his toys as a child. So I like how there's a slight parallel there between the girls and the toys.

[No one outside your group of friends will look you in the eye anymore /it makes you feel powerful /it makes you feel alone.] - I really liked how you brought up that he feels powerful, but alone because of his bullying. I have found that most bullies are some of the loneliest people. So it's fitting that Dudley feels that way.

[You spit out slurs with as much venom as you can manage \because you don't want anyone to suspect \that you might be /one of them/] - bullying so no one knows that you're just like those people you bully. God, the truth behind that statement. It's one of the biggest reasons people bully. (Well, that and just plain out being disgusted.)

[and some nights you cry yourself to sleep \because you feel /guilty/] - I love that Dudley does have a conscious. That he does hate the way he treats people. But he's too scared to change it.

[You don't get your happily ever after with him] - I love you for this. Because this is real. You don't always get a happily ever after, and I love that Dudley doesn't. Personally, I think it's more fitting because that's karma coming back after him, but that's just me, eh?

[you find your forever somewhere else /with a man with greygrey eyes and a smile as wide as the ocean /and he is happy for you /and that is enough] - I do like that he did get a happy ending though. At least he got something for going all those years in love with his best friend. And it's even better that his best friend is accepting and happy for Dudley.

I still don't think that this was anywhere near as good as this freeverse-ish thing, but I tried ;) But this was just lovely and gorgeous and I love this and I love you. You are just amazing.

I love Dudley fics. :) I don't think I've ever seen one like this though.

[most days you think you deserve to be suffering it.] Guilty!Dudley is so perfect and sweet and sad and just as;lfjal;dsjf i love you okay and i love this and i ship it now and you are amazing.

So... I always try to review every fic that I particularly like. This would be a lot easier if they weren't so good they left me speechless... ah well. It's very good! I like it :) and I like how you have exploited the form; the different lengths of lines shows (to me, anyway) how Dudley's emotions vary so much and how 'spiky' his character is.

I have never loved Dudley so much... (The only fic that came remotely close was An Aunt's Love.)
I have tears in my eyes. I'm seriously not exaggerating. This fic was beautiful on so many levels. It should be nominated from the Best Angst award even if it does have a happy ending. :3 Plus, bonus points for no Vernon being in this.
While I was reading your fic, it made me really wonder if someone has written Dudley's POV of the war. I've never looked. It would be really interesting to read. Maybe you could write a more in depth version (with or without the unrequited Piers love).

LAURA! I never, not once, ever, in a million years would have put these two together... ever. A gay Dudley... I like, I like, despite being a Chudley shipper, because Chudley is just interesting :P

I loved that it was in a freeverse form (a long freeverse at that) but may I ask... what inspired you to write DudleyPiers? It seems to interesting haha, but I'm glad you did it, because the Muggles in Harry Potter are somewhat forgotten in fanfiction which is disappointing :(

It was written well too, and I loved every word.

Loved the ending, I was really hoping Dudley would find someone but not Piers...I don't normally read stories with these characters but this was better than I expected. :)
