Your version of Sookie staking creepy, rape-y Bill is infinitely more satisfying then the TB version! On the other hand, any kill of Bill is a good thing!

Durian appears to be helping but he sure doesn’t feel trustworthy. Why would he go ahead & use his glamour to make Sookie feel bad if he was really inclined to see her as an honorary cousin & as a member of the “House Brigant,” plus he seemed pretty disrespectful about Niall. Also, thinking back, elves weren’t the most stabile, predictable members of the Fae line SVM Sookie had to deal with. I can’t help but think this exchange might have some blow-back on Sookie later — maybe to do with a magical object & handing it over to him.

Soooooo, what’s with the Sino-AIDS maid trying to go into Eric’s room? Since Sookie made a fuss, it seems clear that this is the first time a maid has tried to enter it while he’s at rest. Plus, I would think that going into any resting vampires room would be completely out of bounds for any of the cleaning staff.

Silly, Stubborn Sookie — Eric’s right — it’s the coup that matters! It will eliminate Freyda thereby freeing Bertine with no need for either of them to kill her guards to free her.

Agh! The audacity of fictional blonde, mid-20’s, mostly human telepaths always thinking they know more & better than fictional blond, Viking warrior, vampire Sheriffs! You’d think she would fictionally learn! ;D

Ruefully LMAO regarding your end AN — did anything from SVM piss me off or make me say WTF? In my case, nearly everything from the latter half of the book series! Hence me visiting FF & Word Press sites for months sifting through & reading the thousands of SVM/TB offerings for quality alternative stories to soothe my savaged psyche.

After Sookie said, “...I trusted Bill and he betrayed me every way I can think of,” my instincts wanted to have Eric’s reply include pointing out that despite all of Bill’s many betrayals, she continued to choose to trust him over Eric right up to that very night, despite the fact that Eric always did his best to protect her & never lied to her. Your instincts are probably right in not doing so here. When I think it through, my idea seems as if it would have been more likely to have triggered more stubborn rebellion on her part. It’s just that nearly all of her actions in the latter books made me feel indignant and left me wanting to smack her over & over & over...
