Lovely ... just lovely and thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Very nice healing story and I'm glad that Rossi and Emily were along for this journey of healing with Hotch and Jack.

oh wow, tear jerker all right, I love the story though and you did a great job with this chapter, I'm glad that I have more to read to fill in the gaps!
MidwestDreamer chapter 5 . 6/22/2013
Finished reading this in its entirety last night and was in tears... both sad and happy ones. This was so beautifully written; the anguish and, ultimately, joy that Hotch and Jack were feeling was palpable. One of my favorite things about CM is the familial bond the team shares and how they're there for each other off the job as well as on, and so it made perfect sense to me that Rossi would know that Hotch would go to the cemetery... and that he would go to offer any support he could.

This story filled in some of the gaps for me, as far as Hotch coming to terms with his grief and realizing that he needs to be both strong *and* vulnerable for Jack. It reminded me of a bookend quote by Ralph W. Sockman from one of the show's episodes: "Nothing is so strong as gentleness, and nothing is so gentle as real strength."

I'm not sure why exactly, but I've always pictured Hotch as having perhaps been brought up in the Episcopal church; for me, it seems to fit with his background. Because of that, the way you interspersed the Lord's Prayer throughout was really powerful. I could see Hotch reciting it in an effort to gain control over all the emotions he was feeling... using it almost as a mantra.

Thanks so much for a great read!

OMG woman! I'm bawling my eyes out right now!

What a beautiful, lovely, touching chapter. I always say when I can picture in my mind's eye the characters of an FF doing what the characters would do on the show, the writer deserves the perfect 10.

You my friend, have my perfect 10. *bows in respect*

Great, great final chapter Brummie and a wonderful story!
Ecda chapter 5 . 6/17/2013
Great ending to a beautifully written story, thank you for sharing!
I loved how Rossi was so concerned for Hotch and Hotch's comment on listening to the people who care about him...great line. Plus I enjoyed how you brought one of my favorite scenes of all time, when Rossi talks to Aaron after the reaper kills all those people on the bus.
The ending was perfect with them smiling around and feeling Hailey's precence.
Lovely!
