Waw thats a touching story after reading this for the first time i had to watch the spider man aninated series and saw the make a wish episode which i remebered this story and came back to read it again i cried honestly its touching. i love the story kip the good work up

I absolutely loved this story. That was my favorite episode of the series.

Sad but beautiful.

I just finished this episode aftee not watching it for years. I had never realized what this episode was about. And then I find myself watching it, bawling my eyes out when it hit that last scene.
I google "Spider-Man Maria Taina" to see if there were any screenshots of the foundation scene, and I stumble across this.
Oh my God. I almost just cried again. Probably too soon to have read this. I swear, it's that movie "The Ultimate Gift" all over again. The story was great, though. Depressing, but great.

That was beautiful. Sad as hell, but beautiful. Were I the kind of person who cries easily, I'd be ruining my keyboard right now as I write this review. That episode is near and dear to my heart for a lot of reason, and considering that you set this after the series finale, it makes me wonder what would have happened if Spider-Carnage had gotten to meet his world's Taina before the Carnage symbiote got its hooks in him. Would the strength and purity of her adoration for him have saved him from a life of such utter misery and destruction that concluded just as sadly? Wow, what could have been . . . what could have been . . . Right there with you, Peter. Right there with you.
