Ok, this fic is so important.
What you have here is an age old story. The silent, strong character has been strong for too long and reveals internal tiredness, fear, pain, sadness, authors attempt some variation of this. Many do not succeed in any sense of the word, and here is where they fail. There is a difference between being vulnerable and being completely out of character. What happens in your story isn't overly dramatic, other characters don't angst over it. He simply fell asleep. Simple things like the fact that he's still wearing just an undershirt, his hair's messed up, and his sleeves are pushed up slightly speak volumes while remaining true to Spock's character.
This was a very refreshing break from the ooc drama of other stories attempting the same thing. (I'm sure you know what I mean)

That is just so incredibly cute.

This is absolutely adorable. I'm so glad I was able to stumble across this. Though it doesn't seem very characteristic, I found it very adorable and worth thinking about later.
There is one flaw I have to point out though. You mention Bones coming into the transporter room with Christine. I assume this is Christine Chapel, however, Dr. Marcus mentions to Kirk that Christine was transferred to an outer frontier, thus not part of the Enterprise crew. That was the only error I could find.
Again, I really enjoyed this. I wouldn't mind reading it again in the future. Thank you for writing this,
