Somehow it fits. I really would like to read some more interactions between Itachi and Shikako/Kumori. It's a shame that it's not quite "canon" and more popular concept.

I do hope you continue this gem of a story. I'm absolutely in love with it! I had seen the first chapters before, but I hadn't realised you had updated with the little AU at the end (well AU of the AU I suppose...). In any case, I thought it delightful. I loved Itachi's characterization so much that it actually made me realise that I want to read more stories about Itachi as a whole. I absolutely loved everything about your work - the style, the pacing, the characters, the visualisation. I'm eagerly awaiting potential updates! :)

I know they would make up sooner or later with how Itachi and Shikako interaction in the first AU. But it doesn't mean it hurts less.

Please let this be a happy ending! With alive Shikako and Itachi! And i can't wait for her reunion with the Naras. I'm looking forward for it, particulary for Shikaku's for some some reason.

Just when would Orochimaru be killed i wonder... Here it shows that Shikako is way more stronger than Sasuke but i wonder would Sasuke be stronger than her in the future? Cause if he stay still below Shikako, that means, Shikako could kill Orochimaru too..

Anyway please update this! I strive for Itachi and Shikako's interaction! I wonder would it develope into romance once they are older... This IS an AU afterall...

My God this is incredible, this chapter specifically. Tear-jerker, I felt my heart get squished. That line where itachi said that he sacrificed his village and everything but not her and that small selfish (God I loved this part) line 'she was not part of the bargain. he was supposed to able to keep her' ugh hold my heart please

Definitely amazing work here. I'd honestly pay good money to see a full-length fanfiction of Sound!Shikako, because it does open up a lot of avenues for her. Plus your OCs and AU scenarios are just plain good too. Though instead of Oto from a civilian POV, I would be more interested in Kabuto and Orochimaru's perspectives: Shikako may not be Naruto with his Talk no Jutsu, but she has similar, and to me, more impactful (and realistic) ways of positively influencing people, as Gin has already noted, so I would definitely want to see you explore those dynamics.
