I'm still very confused about why both of them were so wishy-washy, honestly, Shizuru does a pretty good job of going after things unabashedly in the beginning (inviting herself to sleepovers with natsuki, dragging her along to go shopping, making her stay at the beach longer) it's honestly a lot of gall and a lot of moxy for someone who doesn't even try one bit to tell her how she feels, the writing is excellent in a lot of ways, but the character motivations still feel a bit paper thin to me, like everything was set up to be an angsty jealousy driven drama at Natsuki's expense and I just don't get that

I'm re-reading this after so many years and the first thing I reacted to was the moment shizuru steals natsuki's umbrella, she doesn't even use it, she just runs with it, rude (i honestly laughed at that part though)

Will you still continue the story?

Came across this update in my email archives! Glad to see Shizuru's POV, and that the scene from the first chapter has now been addressed! I really love how you wrote these chapters, chronologically showing snapshots of Shizuru and Natsuki's relationship, and it culminating on the "event" that will hopefully finally bring them together.

I sincerely hope that you'll revisit this story and continue, but either way, thank you so much for all the stories that you've brought us.

None of my words would do this story any justice. The first chapter drew me in and before I knew it- the tell tale prickling started in my chest. Augh.

very glad this was updated, so weird though that I was actually thinking about this story a few days ago, wondering, Where will Natsuki go from here? Really good to see into Shizuru's perspective, though now I'm worried from the time-line hints that this won't be a happy ending (boo!)
Really interesting about all the things that go unsaid that should be said, and the whole reaching but always beyond reach - but be warned, too much losing and no winning (even the smallest victories) can affect the story's romantic-inner-conflict appeal.
So looking forward to what happens next!
