I just found this story and binged it in one evening. I actually really enjoy the shorter chapters how it works with the pacing. I hope you come back to it eventually

Sweet so sweet it was all I needed

It's kind of pointless reviewing a story that hasn't been updated in so long, but I felt the need to anyway. It's good. Good enough that I read to your last chapter. I was definitely curious as to where you would take the plot, and it definitely had promise. I saw what you were saying about the shorter chapters, and while I can appreciate a good one shot or short story that is very direct, it just seemed like there was something missing. This story, while well written also read very shallow. There wasn't a whole lot of development in their relationship that readers were able to witness. While it's fairly obvious where Gaara's feelings reside, we are given very few hints as to wether or not your OC sees him in a romantic light. My favorite part of any story are the subtle hits we see in the interactions between characters. You have very little detail in the surroundings, facial expressions, and body language of your characters. Readers sometime need more than 'he stared at her with his stoic expression.' Or 'her body tensed at his touch.' While there is nothing wrong with these, feel free to add a few minor details. ie. ' His hard unreadable eyes gazed at her in his customary stoicism. The intensity in his unwavering gaze forcing her to supress a shiver that threatened to make its way up her spine.' Or ' he felt the way her body stiffened at his touch. The tensing in her spine was slight, but his years as a ninja had trained him to sense even the smallest of changes in her body. The idea that his touch had caused this reaction in her sent a pang in his heart he didn't totally recognize.' These weren't word for word examples just what I could remember off the top of my head. Anyway your not a bad writer, you show a lot of promise, which is why I decided to comment despite the fact it's been years since your last updated. Hope you don't take anything I said the wrong way, it was definitely meant to be constructive!

I really really like this story. I look forward to seeing how it turns out as it follows a civilian instead of the mainstream Naruto fanfics that follows some OC kunoichi

I am very pleased with this story! It took a little while to get used to the short chapters, but now I'm finding I actually kinda like the separation between the scenes. You write well, and your characters (both cannon and oc) are believable and fit well together. The thing I love most, though, is the reason for your title. There are not nearly enough stories dealing with ordinary characters, especially well executed ones. Well done! And I hope classes don't overwhelm you too much so you're able to update soon :)
