this is the absolute best thing ever and I adore it. it took me several days to read but was the source of excitement that had me rushing through my everyday chores just so I could read this. I can't thank you enough for this story. it's perfect, and everything I could have wanted.

My favorite story

Ok, I like where this story but I wanted to point 2 things out. 1) Cuts like the ones you described wouldn't have hurt that bad. I mean, if the knife is as shark as you've described and the pain tolerence we've seen from Merlin is accurate, Cendred would be lucky if he got Merlin to stop smiling the whole encounter, except for the stab wound. 2) THe first cut you described would have killed Merlin, unless it was to the top of the arm. There are arteries and veins on the underside and going along the length of the arm would have hit them. (Also, it takes a crap ton of power to knock a guy flat with a punch to the eye and even then they don't go unconscience for hours. Next time try for the back of the head, or hit with something harder than a fist)

I really enjoy how you've added "brother" to merlin's pronouns when Arthur refers to him! It's shows the amazing bond between them and the how well he is taking the news of merlin's magic!
