Wow. It's after three in the morning, and I just finished this. It was one hell of a read, and... wow. I don't really have any other words for it. I'm generally not a fan of dark!fic, but this was amazing, and I love the way you wrote Butch in this. Ivy's character growth is also amazing, even if we don't get to see as much of it from Butch's perspective.

I love how smoothly you go from one chapter to another and it ALL MAKES SENSE. You did an absolutely great job. It was a hell of a ride throughout the entire story but it was so worth it. I really enjoyed reading this! Well done :D

Ahhh this was simply brilliant! I loved the structure of the story and the drama. Ivy and Butch's relationship developed really organically as well. So thank you for writing this!

Just wanted to take a moment to say that my fears about lingering victimhood and such went unrealized. I often read in a hurry and usually on my phone, and so rarely get a chance to review as thoroughly as I like, but I wanted to take a moment and say that so I didn't come off as unremittingly sour!

I admit this is a fascinating story, with the characterizations of both Ivy and Butch interesting and gripping to read. As a reader the chief constructive criticism I can think of right now is this: almost all of Ivy's characterization right now seems to be oriented around her role as a victim of Stevie Mack. For all that 'girl/woman being raped/victimized by evil man' is a common theme in stories, I don't think it sinks this one because there are glimpses of something more substantive for Ivy, and Butch does not appear (yet) to be a straightforward knight in shining armor, which is another cliché.

However, I think as a reader much of that stems from my knowledge that Ivy will go on to be the Lone Wanderer, the epitome of capable, powerful badass and so this mutes some of the trouble the victim role poses. So that is my chief criticism (I mean that in a 'hopefully useful remark' kind of way, not a 'bashing story' kind of way, and I hope that comes through): Ivy is almost exclusively a victim right now. I do hope she manages to emerge from that shell before her departure from Vault 101, and I also *especially* hope that Butch is not the one who saves her from Stevie, but that she saves herself. It's just...man, it's just *wrong* if the Lone Wanderer needs *Butch Deloria* to rescue her.

I I really think that a story about Ivy's Capitol Wasteland adventures could be really good, She is such a well developed character, and to a large extent sadly, most stories rely more on the adventures then the characters to keep the story going. This one, while the time changes took a little getting used to, enhance the story by showing the characters at different stages of their development.

Eh, we never get told what all the Pip-Boy can do, its entirely possible it has a taking function that tapes into not just a Vaults systems, but a satellite array as well. After all, how else do you explain the map and location indicator on the thing in the game?
