Yeah something special she is

Ok this is genius. Some episodes have hinted me ideas alike this one, and I keep wondering what would happen the day Daryl waited a little too long and somebody else did a move on Carol. And Rick sometimes seems to be torn between his feelings for some of the family members.

That side, the one of "waiting a little too long"/ "Not being good enough" is a side that fascinates me of Daryl's feelings towards Carol.

You should really continue this story and make it multi-chapter. It's an interesting angle and it's very well written. I would be very interested in learning what happens next.

How do you do it? Everything you write is just so damn insightful! It's like you are inside these character's heads, and it's all so well-written that you scare me a little! Are you really real, or are you some magical muse that has invaded someone's mind? You blow me away!

I love this. It would be a completely natural progression, IMO. Why wouldn't Rick feel drawn to Carol? Would be absolutely yummy to see on the show, although I strictly ship Caryl. Wouldn't mind seeing someone push them a little, you know? And Rick could be the one to do just that.

Loved it! I totally think it natural that Rick would develop feelings for the woman caring after his child...especially an awesome woman like Carol...loved this a lot great job!

Utterly brilliant. I don't know what else to say. I love the this inner struggle playing out in Rick. If I wasn't such a die-hard Caryler, I'd probably love to entertain the thought of Rick and Carol as they have an impenetrable bond as well.

I think you wrote both brilliantly. Daryl was so.. Daryl to me from the way he responded to his entire body language. To that flash of insecurity when he realized he might be up against Rick for Carol's affections. I loved this piece. And I think you did such a great job with it.

Honest, I was a little confused when Daryl realized midsentence something. Was it that he loved her too, or that Rick was interested in her...?
And you always end with a very definitive sentence that just reels the reader out of the loop. Its like a punch to the FEELS! Like the last line "no one else is good enough," was just a twisted way to up Daryl but just provide more baggage to the Rick confusion. Love it.
But if anyone were to tell Daryl that Carol is a special woman who loves him, its Rick. That tell, and Daryl's response-very in character and I'd like to see :))

Can I say that though I dont have a tumblr, I stalk the Caryl thread and just LOVE your posts?
This one here, I love how its really subtle and to the point. Rick is confused but he clears it, but that Carol feeling is still there no matter how small and that last word "damn" just goes to further my Carick Feels and how strange the pair are. Because Rick does need to hang onto Carol's enduring strength over loss, theyve grown together so much this past season.
